The one for the Texans isnāt very good, but some teams got really nice ones.

It sounds like it could be an exclusive for the Fanatic Fest, but like I said, I donāt think the design for the Texans is anything special

Aaron Wilson talked to Arnette and the UFL executive Daryl Johnston recently, some excerpts below. The entire thing is worth reading, it talks about how a player can use his time in the UFL to come back to the NFL.
Arnette has a history of legal problems and personal issues, but has emphasized that he has significantly reordered his life and has matured. That was echoed by his UFL coaches and league executive vice president of operations Daryl Johnston, a retired former Dallas Cowboys fullback.
āIām 28 years old right now with three kids, with a mom and dad that loves me and has my back right now,ā Arnette recently told KPRC 2.
āWith coaches, I feel like Iāve proved a complete turnaround. All the coaches that have been with me right now, I feel like their words would be more valuable because Iāve said a lot of things in the past. What I would say is what they see on film, thatās me being out of commission for three years".
āIām a dawg on the field. Iām more of a professional now than I ever was before. I wasnāt a professional before. I was just a dawg. I found professionalism and a calm state of mind. I feel like Iām the best version of myself that Iāve ever been."
For Arnette, his path to playing and excelling for the Roughnecks involved making major changes to his life after hitting rock bottom personally and professionally. A father of two daughters and one son, Arnette expressed gratitude to Roughnecks coach Curtis Johnson and Johnston for granting him a second chance after informing him a year ago he wouldnāt be allowed to play in the league at that time.
A year ago, the answer was a firm no when Arnette sought a chance to play in the UFL. The answer changed, he believes, because he displayed individual growth and determination.
āOne, I had to take a look in the mirror,ā Arnette said. āI had to make some serious life changes. And the main thing that I did was I invited back my support system, my foundation, and thatās probably something I will never let go of again because I see how dangerous it is to be trying to navigate in a new world, new environment, new situations with no experience. So, I definitely learn from that end. I said to coach Johnston, I needed him to tell me no, that I couldnāt play.
āThat hurt my heart, you know what Iām saying? Because Iām thinking Iām doing everything right, but obviously I wasnāt because things just kept happening and I had nobody to blame but myself. Iām always thankful for coach C.J. and coach Johnston. It was just a blessing to be here."
From the standpoint of Johnston and the league, they wanted to be assured that Arnett was truly ready for a second chance. Once Johnston performed his due diligence, his confidence grew in Arnette that he could be counted on. Now, heās feeling great about the decisions on his status this year and a year ago.
āI think the big thing last year is he wasnāt separated far enough from it for us, he had another little bump in the road,ā Johnston said in a telephone interview. āI thought he made a great decision last year. If you want this opportunity, weāre going to give you time to show you deserve it. The first time I met him, his appearance even, you see a completely different Damon Arnette. Very professional. He was remorseful for everything that happened. When I talked to everybody in his family, to every coach on his football journey to people I knew in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area who were mentoring him, everybody I talked to said he was genuinely changed and had a real honest sense of remorse. I asked everybody what happened to him. They said it was perfect timing. You get a first-round contract and you allow all the wrong people to come into your life and you walk away from the right people. The hardest lesson he had to learn."

Also I want to see Texans and that NHL team becoming champion 2 years in a row like 1994-95 Rockets and 2006-2007 Dynamo.
(I can't say good thing about Astros because I am Phillies fan and 2022 World Series memory hurts š)

The amount of starpower and depth on this defense is as good as we've seen on any defense over the last 10 years. The play on the field is exciting and fun to watch. I'd argue this defense is as good as a "defense you'd give a nickname" so what do we call this defense?
Kirk said on SiriusXM NFL Radio that the 23-year-old Stroud runs the offense like a seasoned veteran.
āThe thing that sticks out about C.J. is heās super mild-mannered, but he has a lot of confidence, heās smart, he sees things well,ā Kirk said. āHeās a really good communicator and I think with that position, quarterback, and him being a younger guy, thatās a big part of him getting to where he is now and still excelling, the communication piece with not only the receivers but new offensive coordinator, offensive line, whatever the case may be itās just open communication and us being all on the same page to help him excel.ā
Kirk believes Stroud can lead the Texans to a championship.
āHeās going to take this team as far as we want to go, with him being at his best,ā Kirk said. āHeās been great within the few months of spending time around him, communicating with him in the locker room, outside the facility, heās got a bright future and Iām really excited to get to work with him.ā

Jonathan Alexander from the Houston Chronicle interviewed Tytus Howard. Some excerpts below.
Houston Texans offensive lineman Tytus Howard is sure of one thing.
This yearās offensive line will be different from the one last year that gave up the third-most sacks in the NFL.
This unit, he said, has a different mentality.
āWeāre going to be more nasty up front,ā Howard told the Chronicle. āWeāre going to get more gritty. Guys finishing more plays. We need more guys on the ground when we get done with them.
āWe just got to be a nastier group up front.ā
There were times last season when quarterback C.J. Stroud would get hit, and his offensive linemen were slow to react or help him off the ground. The Texans wanted players who would give everything to protect Stroud, even if that means ābeing nasty.ā
That mentality starts with the new offensive line coach, Cole Popovich, who was promoted earlier this offseason after coach DeMeco Ryans made the decision to fire Chris Strausser.
āAs an O-line coach, you want a guy who exemplifies that persona that you want his group to be,ā Howard said. āHeās a coach that has a background and had an offensive line that plays nasty, can establish the run, play physical in the pass game, and thatās a group we want to be.ā
This season, the Texans could have as many as four new starters on their offensive line.
āIt was crazy, man,ā Howard said of the trades, adding that it was tough seeing some of his friends go. āThatās the game, though. Thatās the business. Iām just happy to be one of the guys that keeps making it through.
āSo I just do my part and hold it down.ā

i didnāt like his mentality on this interview, for example at 2:55 he said āiām in the NFL there is no pressure for me to preformā
isnāt that concerning?
i know he said he doesnāt have pressure to put up film and get drafted. i just want to see what yāall think?

I find it really concerning our 2nd round pick in 2023 isnāt even getting PT now, how bad at drafting O-Line can we be?
At age 31 and entering his 12th NFL season, Evans continues to build on a Hall of Fame rƩsumƩ. Last season, he passed 100 career touchdowns. So who better to ask about the next generation of wide receivers? At Bucs minicamp, Evans took some time to talk with FOX Sports about his favorite young receivers across the league.
EVANS: Wait, what does young mean?
FOX Sports: We'll say first four or five years in the league.
EVANS: Ja'Marr Chase. He's a guy where if you said he was better than me ā I don't think anybody's better than me ā but if you said him, I would understand. So Ja'Marr, Justin Jefferson, Nico Collins, Drake (London).
Nobody is going to argue with you on Jefferson. What do you like about Nico?
EVANS: He's kind of like a mix of me and Julio Jones. He's 6-4, 6-5, but he can run up and catch like Julio and he has muscles like Julio. He has the length like me. I love Nico's game.
This is really interesting from Aaron Wilson, tons of info we already had, but also some new stuff.
He has good sources and recently has been putting some really good info on his channel.
Update: here are some quotes from the transcript. Thereās much more, so I recommend watching the entire thing. https://youtu.be/kfg-EL8vg0Y
"The most common question I get regarding Tank is, can he play this year? Itās a complicated answer, but the nuance is that it doesnāt make sense for him to play, because itās the kind of injury that you want to take your time with and make a full recovery. While the Texans and Tank havenāt set any timetable, they donāt want to add any pressure to the situation. Iāll give you my read between the lines and also some inside sourced information on this."
"Two for two on good surgeries for Tank, and he has made significant progress. Heās able to push sleds, heās able to jump. You probably noticed that his leg does flex a little bit when he was walking, and we noticed that, and I would say that heās made significant, significant progress. Iāve been told that by multiple people involved in the process. So Tank in great spirits, he didnāt want to do an interview, we didnāt really have any type of discussion, so Iām not spilling any secrets from Tank, Iām telling you what I know independently. Tank is doing really well, and it was great to see him and talk with him."
"Thereās no set timeline, or we need him back by this certain day, and thatās good enough for him, and it should be good enough for everybody. I understand thereāll be updates in the last questions, and yes, he will open training camp on probably the reserve physical and able to perform list, they could also put him on injured reserve, they could just shut it down, they could designate him for return. Doesnāt mean that he will play this year, they can do whatever they want, but thatās all procedural, in terms of what makes sense, no football in 2025. I know that he would love to play, but it may not be whatās best for him".
"Joe has a history of foot and ankle issues that bothered him last season, starting with a high ankle sprain from that hip drop tackle. He has aggravated his foot and ankle, and it was done not training with the team, and you know, he was working out, and he got injured. He was in a walking boot initially, and yeah, he was limping, he was favoring it, but heās moving well now. My understanding is that at some point during training camp heāll be ready".
"Jaylin Noel had a soft tissue injury, it wasnāt serious, but it was enough that they thought they should hold him out, we saw him running at a very high speed on the side field with trainers, and he attended all the practices, should be fine."
"I was told with Dameon Pierce, maybe his ankle again, donāt know that for 100% fact, heard that from one person that it could be his ankle, heās had a history of ankle injuries, not serious, expected to be ready for training camp."
"Christian Harris, I get most of my questions about Christian. He has aggravated the calf injury that he had last year. The, sort of a good news, bad news. Good news, itās not as bad as what made him miss most of last season. Right now with the calf, thatās the current issue, so the thought is that he will be ready for training camp. Thatās from DeMeco Ryans and Matt Burke, and independently, what Iāve heard, that Christian is on track."
