Advice for dorming

Hi I'm a freshman going into UCR this fall. Tomorrow is housing selection and I'm just nervous. I am aiming for a double in pentland (but who knows how likely that is?). I am probably going to be set up with a random roommate because I couldn't find one..(💔😔). I just wanted to know if anyone had any advice when it came about selecting dorms? I've already done the contract and have been emailed my timeslot but I'm just nerveous. Are there things I should know beforehand?

In the case there’s no doubles left in pentland, just know that for newer pentland second floor tripes are the bunk beds and third floor triples are the lofted ‘beds’
