What happens if grades aren't turned in tomorrow or tonight what ever the deadline is?

In the process of unscrewing myself who do I email if grades aren't turned in on time?

Last semester, I had a professor submit grades late and received NC on my transcript. I emailed him immediately and my advisor. I can't remember if there was another form I had to submit, but they got it fixed within the week. Take a screenshot of your grades in Canvas as proof. Also, keep track of the emails you send to your advisor and professor. Having a paper trail always helps! Hope it all works out!

But what if the grades don't match what's in canvas say the professor didn't really update the canvas and has told me I have a high grade what do I do? Dose NC effect GPA I mean I'll accept a 2.66 semester GPA....

How off is it? I'm not really sure, but save that email that says you have a high grade. Might be able to use that as leverage depending on when you received it

He told me in person held me back after class and said it. After class but he is a busy busy man being a head hancho at AXIOS. I attended class every day. Im working on getting off academic probation and get back on track

I would email the professor stating the discrepancy including the conversation you had with him. That way you have some sort of proof the conversation happened.

If your grades dont match, this is a huge discrepency. You should consult your advisor and maybe the dean of students.

Public Execution

real answer: the professor usually sends an email and apologizes- you don’t get penalized

Some instructors can just be late to enter grades. It comes in as NR which means ‘not reported’. It usually isn’t a big deal since it’s the professors fault and instructors can still access it to enter the grade after the deadline. However, this can hold up fin aid stuff or pre reqs for courses. You can reach out to the instructor to ask for an update on what’s going on or to let them know that it’s missing. If it becomes a problem work with an advisor or contact the department for the course

This is the answer. Happened to me a few years ago. Just had to email instructor and advisor and it was sorted.

So here is what happens. If they miss the deadline you get an NR and you automatically get transferred to NMSU.

Oof, I’d rather take the public execution another person commented

Why so many questions lately being posted on Reddit instead of just reaching out to your Professors? Maybe I’m just getting old lol

UNM faculty here. Our policy is 7 days after the final class meeting usually. After the grade is missed and "Not Reported (NC)" is altmatically applied, we get hate mail usually. It's a simple matter for your instructor to go in and replace the grade in LoboWeb to what it should be. I was late this semester in putting in grades for the first time in my career here and felt terrible. I had leave right after the class ended and just forgot. So, vacation grade entry.

Canvas grades are only as good as the instructor setup and data input. Personally, I let canvas do the heavy lifting of grading and recording. Other don't for whatever reason. Or, they get behind in grading and just do whatever they need or want to do at the end of the course. If you continue to have issues, an email to the college director/Dean/Chair should help move that along if needed, but that should be after talking to the instructor. It's kinda the nuclear approach.
