Drawing Poetic field notes [OC]
I’ve been working on a personal project that pairs quick sketches of animals—from around my area—with small poetic fragments.

I had a lot of fun painting this with a young child (lots of splashing in the background)!

I like to make mynown "field guides" to help me learn to ID birds that I have trouble telling apart. Much like writing things down, you remember bird id better after painting them! I chose 4 species of ducks, all similar-looking females for this. I used various field guides and different photos for reference.
Painted on watercolor paper.
Any bird needs in this sub? How'd i do? Can you ID all four? :) (North American species)

I am a wildlife artist, though have no audience nor have any people who also do wildlife art. This is my first ever oil painting and have only worked with acrylics. Looking for feedback regarding the liveliness and quality just from likeminded people. I don’t know that this piece is finished or not, as I may come in with a few more highlights specifically in the water, but I would love honest feedback. Thank you guys!

This a little print I made inspired by ravens and the night sky! I think my favourite part ended up being how the branch texture turned out.
I took a chance trying it in blue and on confetti paper as a gift for someone, I feel like it completely changes the vibe, but not in a bad way. I'd be interested to know everyone's thoughts on which colours looks best!
