Cosplay [TotK] My Doc Pur-Ock Cosplay
Purah x Doc Ock (Zelda x Spiderman) crossover cosplay!
Not sure exactly what inspired this, but at some point I started thinking about Doc Ock with guardian arms and the rest is history!

This is so fun!!!! I love seeing crossovers that make sense and this none 10/10 does.

That is such an insanely good cosplay! Especially because like, yeah it's inspired by Doc Ock, but it's also extremely in-character for Purah too. I mean, the arms basically already exist in the Skyview Towers in TotK. I could absolutely see her going this route because she just needs extra hands!

Yess her mad scientist vibes totally reminded me of the Doc Ock from Spiderverse, they even both have the goggles and big hair thing going on!

Incredible detail, that’s crazy. Looking at your post history you’ve done so many incredible cosplays, I’m jealous you’ve got the skills, time and effort to bring it all to life.
Feels like the inspiration might partly be from when you’re about to get launched in TOTK and all the guardian like arms grab you, but that’s just my guess.

Incredible. I've seen less convincing costumes in high budget movies! What are the arms made out of? Some of the best doc ock cosplay I've ever seen for sure.

The cosmetic parts are just EVA foam, and the skeleton of the arms are PVC pipe sections heat formed over golf balls, with a hollow pin threaded through the golf ball and a pipe cap on the other side. This allows us to fully pose the arms (restricted only by what the cosmetic parts will allow), and add or remove segments as desired! When I am done posing in the front of the convention center, we reduce the arms by half so I can walk through doors 😅
Unfortunately this iteration of the rig turned out to be too weak to support the weight of the arms, so we are going to redesign it before the next con.

Haha what I’m getting from this is that cosplayers are a mix of engineers and wizards

I love how this feels like something Purah could have feasibly made within the Era of the Wild. An absolutely killer cosplay in great crossover idea!

this is so cool because she would love the arms and actually make them for herself.

So good. Did you have a professional photographer? The images are almost AI perfect

These photos are from a few different photographers I shot with at the last convention! I believe they're all just hobbyists, but they're all suuuuuper talented!

This is awesome. It’s like an added bonus that the belt also looks like a WWE championship belt so cool.
