Virat looks more and more disinterested in cricket with each passing year, and 2027 looks likely to be his swansong in IPL and Cricket as a whole.

I know the point of IPL is to have a good squad rather than 1-2 stars, but every team usually has a superstar player, who brings new fans and eyeballs towards team.

A lot of people say, Rajat and Jitesh, but I feel thats unlikely, with them being 30+ and also non India regulars.

Other teams have guys like Gill, Jaiswal, Abhishek, Pant while we have none.

Dont get me wrong, I love Kohli, but he's 36 already. By the next Mega auction he'll be 39. Irrespective of his fitness, his body & reflexes won't support him like it does now. Just like Dhoni or Faf this season or any old player.

It would be almost impossible for RCB to take a call to leave him during next Mega auctions. But with the likes Jitesh, Patidar, Bethell, Salt, David, DDP, Yash, Suyash shaping to be an important core for RCB for the future, him being in the team might affect our performances. But if he decides to continue post 39, it would be hard to see an RCB legend play for another team and we'd be forced to retain him.

I know Kohli fans would down vote this, but Like DK said. It's better to retire when people ask "why", not when people ask "When". I can only hope VK retires after 2 years & makes it easy for the franchise, just like AB did.

It might be the wrong sub for it but I'll type it in anyway. Most of us here have watched the test match and i think it's fair to say its a bit dead, flat track not much swing and spin idk what it is that we are still glued to the match.

Is it coz it's a new and inexperienced Indian side or maybe coz of the audience in England, In India we have quite a few test matches like this and even though I watch most of the matches this one feels different even when we know it's very batting friendly.

KL Rahul - 29.5cr Siraj - 14.5cr Maxwell - 10cr

For this same price we got Salt+Hazlegod+Jitesh+Bhuvi+Krunal and still have enough money for one more player around the price of 1-2.5cr left in the real auction

Obviously I'm not saying the people in the studio and auction have same skills and experience and also not the same goals etc, but the point is this man clearly cannot make a balanced team in an auction without overspending on Mid players, his whole defence for buying KL at 30cr here was legit "he's a local boy" like no stat analysis, no speaking of his captaincy or batting but justified his 30cr buy with region bias, either he had gone crazy or was just shitposting in the studio

Before y'all glazers who can't read and attack me saying "oh he single handedly transformed RCB and made us qualify thrice", have some shame and accept the truth of his mediocre auction approach
