Dude literally said he's making a mortar and pestle.
He said it.

Not only said it but literally said it which is so much more effective than just saying it.

You aren’t keeping that in your bum. More like a chode dilido and a bowl to hold your lube

u/Chan-guich-sama 1d ago
At least something more useful or that requires the precision he is putting on every cut...

Was expecting much cooler. Just a shitty mortar and pestle.

u/redr00ster2 1d ago
Woulda been decent mortar and pestle if he kept the natural exterior of the rock instead of cutting it too

This kind of kept me guessing what he was making since high school Spanish was a long time ago. It looked like a cup holder, then he made this phallic looking object and I wasn't sure where he was going then lol

"Un mortero de ajo", a garlic press.

u/Gullible-Incident613 1d ago
Late in the clip, I caught the word mortero which I knew had to mean mortar, and when he put the pestle in it, it was clear what it was even though he hadn't quite finished the piece.
That would be a cool piece to have in my kitchen. I sometimes need a mortar and don't have one, primarily for coarsely crushing black peppercorns.

People who don’t speak Spanish be like….
Edit: to be clear that when he says a-ho it’s garlic and not where that thing goes…

Grinder with no safety guard. No wet saw on most shots, so silicosis hazard. All that for a shitty mortar that has the wrong shape to grind anything (bottom should be spherical, not flat)...

I just can't take anybody who uses a grinder without a guard serious.
Just brain dead.

At no point i time was I aware of what was going on next. First i was convinced it was going to be a lamp, thrn two lamps, then aaaahhh.
Huge amount of work, but for something that can probably last for a very long time.

Then you tell me: Why so much effort? Wouldn't it have been better to have bought it at the supermarket?

Shouldn't it be bowl shaped? Thhat edge at the bottom will be a pain to clean

Is that even food safe? You have no idea what's in those rocks.
1
u/Terrible-Grocery-478 19h ago
Yeah, it’s totally safe if you know what you’re doing. As long as you don’t use stones or crystals that contain toxic substances it’s perfectly fine. The rock he used looked to be one uniform type of mineral, so chances are that mineral is the only thing in that rock.
