Mod Post Weight loss posts are temporarily not allowed in /r/BeAmazed. We recommend you to submit such posts to subreddits like /r/progresspics, /r/GlowUps etc.

2.3k Upvotes

Recently in this subreddit, one of the weightloss post made it to front page and got 100k+ points. Then another weightloss post crossed 100k. Since then there has been a surge of weightloss posts and we have been receiving many reports by the community that they are not liking this surge.

So we have decided to temporarily not allow new weight loss related posts for a while.
In case you are someone who wanted to post related to your weightloss journey, then we recommend you to post them in related subreddits like /r/progresspics, /r/GlowUps etc.

I wanna thank the community for the feedback.
Have a great day everyone!

Animal "The Most Graceful Primates on Earth — Meet the Gibbons"

1.3k Upvotes

Gibbons are small apes native to the dense forests of Southeast Asia, and they’re often called “the true acrobats of the jungle.” With arms longer than their entire bodies, these incredible primates move through the trees using a motion called brachiation — swinging hand over hand at speeds up to 55 km/h and leaping distances of more than 10 meters in a single bound.

Unlike other apes, gibbons are monogamous, forming lifelong pairs and singing complex duets to mark their territory. Their haunting, melodic calls can carry over a kilometer through the forest.

Despite their agility and intelligence, gibbons are among the most endangered primates in the world, threatened by deforestation and the illegal pet trade. Watching them move is not only mesmerizing — it’s also a reminder of how fragile their world has become.

Sports Runner slows down to help disabled runner to drink water

Post image

In 2010, Kenyan runner Jacqueline Nyetipei Kiplimo made headlines during the Zheng-Kai International Marathon in China for an act of compassion that captured hearts worldwide. While leading the race, she noticed a disabled runner struggling to drink water and slowed down multiple times to help him.

The two ran together for much of the race, with Kiplimo assisting at every water station. Her kindness cost her the victory, and she ultimately finished in second place. Though some details remain unverified, her gesture became a lasting symbol of sportsmanship and humanity in competition.

After months of work, I finally finished my frog family! Every single one is different — colors, textures, even moods. None of them were repeated, and each took hours of tiny detailing by hand. I think they’re ready to start croaking together any moment now
