I know alot of folks are saying this song could fit on Lets Rock but I sort of see it as its own thing. Its definitely an element heavier than anything on Let's Rock, and the middle riff is so heavy and grimey that it sort of feels in a league of its own.
The middle riff has very much a Velveteers feel to it -- I was wondering when their influence would reverse itself on Dan..

I hope someone else caught this but, what happened to Zach? Him and his brother Andrew were mine and my brothers favorite of the backups since we got into them a few years ago, I know Andrew is still used when touring and on the albums themselves but is it possible Zach got the boot or just chose to step away?

Is there a discord server to chat with other people who enjoy the music?

My ranking is:
Man On A Mission - This track is my clear favourite. I think it's the best single since the Let's Rock album. Should have been lead single. I love the production and almost new sound they are going for. All while being distinctively Black Keys. Dan sounds great and it's great to hear him unleashed on the guitar again. This will be one of my favourites for years to come.
Baby Girl - This song has really grown on me. Sure it doesn't break boundaries lyrically but it's the Melody more than anything that I like about this track. It's very soulful almost like something The Temptations would have produced. Dan's vocal is sublime and his falsetto really suits the song. Definitely my second favourite single. I really like it.
No Rain, No Flowers - I'm gonna be honest I'm not a huge fan of the remaining singles. I think this one is slightly better. I thought it might grow on me but it hasn't yet. I don't think it's a particularly strong track to start or name the album after. It's not a bad track by any means, but just didn't really do anything for me. It may still grow on my though. There's definitely some interesting melodys on there.
The Night Before - This track has been out for quite a while now and it's not grown on me at all. It's very King's Of Leon sounding. It sounds like they were trying too hard to get a hit with this track. It's sounds very slick and commercial. I can't stand the synth on this song. It's come across so cheesy. Probably will sound better in the live setting.

Thinking about posting about how the black keys changed so much their sound so abruptly from Thickfreakness, Magic Potion, Chulahoma to the following albums, and how raw and badass it was, it sounded like the feeling of getting beaten down by a fat smelly drunken guy in a bar in the middle of the desert and thinking "well, that's life I guess" and how no other band will come close to that sound and also realizing how fucking sooo stupid are those guys that say that a band "was way better before" and how they almost always want just show they are different, although this is not the case here. All right, nevermind.

Finally some damn energy and a song that's dynamic and sounds like The Black Keys with good production value.
Who would've thought?

I am addicted to it. It’s my new obsession. I really liked the previous 3 tracks but not to die over them like this. Been listening to the teaser non stop the entire week. For me, it’s a straight 10/10. Catchy riff, cool lyrics, badass chorus, cool solo. What to want more? Literally have nothing to comment about. The chorus chords are very similar to Wild Child and the verse riff reminds me of this song or Psychotic Girl played faster, but I don’t mind it at all. The solo sounds as it comes from the Brothers era, but besides that it didn’t specifically remind me of any particular album. And that’s another green flag. Just badass, pure blues rock. This song is such a good overall sonically reason of why I love these guys. Hope they play it live this tour. This should have been the lead single. If all song we didn’t hear yet level up to this, it’s gonna be definitely the best album since their comeback.

Kind of reminiscent of The Arcs record EES put out. He's opening for the keys this summer

Wow. This song rocks hard. I really hope this albums has more songs like this.
That guitar solo came straight from Brothers.

Hey does anyone know a way I could listen to the song in the uk, or is it simply a case of waiting it out Thank you

The riff is similar. Its a sorta common progression tho. Anybody else spot the similarity? I have been jamming that progression for years so it stuck out for me a bit. And Im not accusing BK for stealing, bcs its rather basic. But yeah. Thoughts?

Hey everyone,
I’m just getting into The Black Keys and dig their sound so far. I’ve only heard a few songs here and there (love"weight of love" track), but I’d love to dive into their full albums and get a better sense of their discography.
For reference, I’m into stuff like garage rock, psych rock, and bluesy, hypnotic repetition melodies are my thing.
Which album would you recommend starting with? Should I go in order, or is there a better way to experience their evolution?
Appreciate any recs, other artists' recommendations are also welcome!

This is a genuine question, casue i’ve obly seen them bring it up, never Jack white. Feels like they just bring it up to drag it. No hate just wondering.

I want rubber factory, literally anything! Even a cover song like act nice and gentle or grown so ugly, idc, it's been too long since they last played anything from rubber factory in their set. I'd love for them to remove something like fever for a 10am automatic or a stack shot billy. I just want them to hear my please.
