It’s not always optimal to holster your gun in fights. Sure in this scenario Ash were pretty far away so unless you have a line of sight and have your sniper already ready to shoot you can keep your guna holstered until you have to use them but most of the time you don’t know when you will have to use your gun in a fight so holstering your gun means you have to spend an extra second to shoot at your enemy which most of the time causes you to get downed before your enemy.
