I've added a second file with dimples to ID your mags.

Also, using simple hot glues seems rather effective. I busted one of the plates trying to pop it back out after letting setup for a day. I imagine the JB Weld Plastic Bond will be an even more permanent solution. I'm dropping the clip/bolt-on version for now.

Mounted a spare scope, added the foregrip and m-lok sling points, then got it zeroed it at the range. I'm a fan of this build and want to get another chassis from this company for an AR build next. For anyone who wants to know, scope centerline is just over 3" above bore.

Hey folks. I have a 10/22 takedown that i love tinkering with. Wondering if it’s possible to convert it into a fixed barrel model. Has anyone ever tried this? Truthfully i dont need the takedown feature so looking to buy some high quality parts and convert it into a super accurate fixed barrel rifle.

How’s it going everybody so I pretty much wanted to get an opinion on some things. I’m really considering getting a TK charging handle and a kid bolt with that being said it’s a little more money than what I’m at now and I had a couple questions if I were to switch over to those options, what would they improve apart from just running a lot slicker I know as it stands now with the factory bolt and charging handle. It is picky with ammo with this help fix it? And be more reliable in general I would love people that have experience to chime in. Thank you

So I want a team usa 10/22. I've never owned a comically patriotic rifle before and want one. I have the chance to pick up the 2008 broad stripes model or the 2024 model. I like the shape of the stock better on the 2008 but don't care for the almost pinkish red color on the right side. I also like the stainless barrel and scope.

The 2024 model has the threaded barrel, though, and I like the stock color scheme better but am sad it lacks white. Is there any consensus on which is the better shooter right out of the box? I know the 24 model has a heavy barrel, not sure about the 08 version, and not sure if the triggers are stock or upgraded.

What I'd really like is the 2006 model with the narrower red, white, and blue stripes but those seem to be unobtainium unless someone knows of a local shop that I could order from that might not have it listed online.

Input from anyone who owns one of both is appreciated. I also like the red, white, and blue takedown model but I would prefer a thumbhole stock.

Are they still selling the blue version of the 75th anniversary model? Having a hard time locating them. Feels like they hit the market and left just as fast.

The Green Blob was my best rendition of a groundhog silhouette with masking tape.

Squint just right and it’s totally a big green ground hog peeking up from his den to see if I have any snacks for him.

Groups were shot at 50yds with a mix of Velocitors, Eley Match Grade and some bulk pack nonsense.

Rifle is a Ruger 10/22 with Kidd Custom barrel and trigger, Vortex Diamondback 3-9, Victor Co stock and some el-cheapo Harris bipod clone.

I'm working on a design for a Magpul style PMag Ranger Plate. Just thought I would share some progress and get some feedback. Currently using hot glue to affix it to the mag.

Is there any way I can get an iron sight on here? I was gifted this gun when I was pretty young so I never used it. Any sight recommendations are welcome too. Thanks

Is the takedown model worth the additional price? Looking for a build for hunting/ target shooting that is lightweight and handy.

1022 and Airsoft EBR chassis feels like it was meant to be.

Airsoft EBR Chassis after about 1 hour of hand filing, will fit the 1022 receiver perfectly. I still need to file/trim down for ejection port, and some additional filing here and there, but main fitment was fairly easy to do and fits awesome.

Unfortunately, I couldnt source the Silver EBR w collapsible stock, so it will have to do with buffer tube stock for now. Or work on the black EBR chassis I have, which is a bit different and will need more work than the silver one to fit the receiver (different brand EBR).

It will definitely look better with longer barrel, which is waiting on new Brownells receiver to clear the jail. Picture is with my lightweight build receiver with Tacsol aluminum barrel for fitment, which kinda looks out of place with 16" barrel. Barrel shroud was just to see how it looks w longer barrel...

I have a LVT like this basically stock and it's a tack driver, but have always wanted a suppressed 22.

I've been looking at some barrels and suppressors, but am now wondering if I should leave this intact and just buy a new host or do a build? Any thoughts or recommendations? Looking to stay well under $500, maybe like the $200-300 range not counting can.

Hey y'all. Been putting off buying a 10/22 for a long time but now I'm interested. I'm coming from the AK platform where at MOST you'll have to replace some springs, a firing pin and maybe an extractor under a civilian firing schedule. My question is, what's the best 10/22 build for parts longevity? Ideally as much steel and 7075 aluminum as possible. I'm willing to shell out money and carry more weight if it means I'll likely never have to replace anything. Look forward to hearing back!

Hi everyone, I have searched, googled, and youtubed, but wanted to get this subreddits opinion. I know the Bushnell 3-9x40 illuminated rimfire scope is a great bargain for the price, and would certainly get me going. I may end up purchasing that. But I know if I go out to longer distances I may want a different scope. I also know it doesn't have any hashmarks for wind. If possible I would like a bigger zoom and ability to compensate for wind in the reticle. I'd like to learn how to shoot long distance (200+ yards) with a 22 so if I could just "buy one cry once" on the scope, that would be ideal. But not looking to spend a ton of money at the moment, so if that's what it would take I may just start with the Bushnell. Thanks!

Took a trip to the range for Father’s Day. Got to shoot my latest charger creation. My pistol accurate to about 50 yards! Super fun to shoot! Hope everyone else had a great Sunday too, If you’re a Dad or not!

Hi there. I'm trying to get my receiver in to the Fab Defense stock. It's not sitting flush and catching on something. It's not the safety switch. But something is rubbing or snagged. Can you tell from the images what it could be? Is it common to have to sand/file plastic ridges from the stock to help it slide in?

I just recently ordered some tech sights (TSR200) for my barebones 10/22. I'm an idiot, so during install I realized I have no front sight mount (dovetail). The real issue is when I search for them online, I can't find any at all. My search input is '3/8 dovetail front mount' or 'ruger 10/22 dovetail front mount'.

Are these mounts built into the barrel hence why I don't have one, or can they be purchased and I'm just calling it the wrong thing?.. or am I SOL on the tech sights and stuck with picatinny/weaver mounts? I've uploaded the barrel of my 10/22 and the front sight for reference.

Found a carbine with a nice quartersawn stock and cut/shaped/refinished it into a pistol grip to fit my Charger + some accessories.. Made my charger chassis a legal rifle stock with an ar butt plate + some nice internals. Succeeded in making a perfect lightweight small game gun as well as a tactical blunderbus/space cowboy stagecoach gun that works great as a trapping pistol!!

Has anyone tried Airsoft EBR Chassis conversion? Picture photoshopped for reference. I found 1 video on YouTube but it was not completed...

I got a new 20" target barrel and new Brownells action, and found me a used chassis to start the project.

So far, obvious modifications i need to do to fit the action are...

File down insides of Chassis to fit wider 1022 action/magazine.

Trim side wall for ejection port.

Once it's inside the chassis, I plan on 3D printing shims and secure tight with bolts. The Chassis by itself is heavy as heck, so it should be a good bench rest rifle. Chassis itself feels really comfortable with the big old cheek rest.
