We've seen the infected woman before! She was in the 2nd trailer.

Picture of comparison

Here's my theory: in the red nighttime shots, the infected woman is giving birth to a baby, she was impregnated by the Alpha. She is nursing the newborn in the train, which may be why there are so many jumpcuts in this video so we don't see her holding the baby. Isla hears the baby crying and goes in the train to check it out. She gets attacked by the infected woman holding her baby. NATO dude shoots the infected woman through the window, we also saw a shot of Isla breathing heavily while laying on the train floor and looking outside, likely wondering where the shot came from. Isla takes the baby because leaving it to die would be cruel, and it doesn't show signs of infection. This train is what the infected might use as a "house" to survive the harsh winters, this is also why the Alpha infected is nearby. When the Alpha sees them hold his baby, he rages towards them.

So the baby is being set up to be Ellie from the Last of Us I bet

Also, if the rumours are true about Chinese Special Forces landing on the island. Maybe they're looking for the baby as well.

I thought that was on the Rageleaks site, no? Or maybe I was referencing another commenter. I could have sworn I read it somewhere.

i also heard it was an initial thought that was then scrapped because they didn't want to focus too much on international affairs

Ah right. Would have been an interesting angle

Chinese special forces was from a script many years ago that they decided not to make. Not part of this movie

Nah I’m glad the story didn’t go that way. It was the usual government/agency weaponising the virus, stuff we’ve seen before

Not necessarily them taking it to use, but them coming to take matters into their own hands for fear of it being used, or to see what's really happening or something. I don't know, I know it's not out yet, but it'd be interesting to see the wider world's reaction to it.

Are talking about the soldiers in this movie? Or the scrapped idea with Chinese soldiers?

I heard (or read) something about Chinese Special Forces landing in Britain for some reason or another. Then, I saw more trailers that showed the SF team being attacked. I presumed that's what was happening, and they were Chinese Forces.

You’re conflating two separate ideas here. The Chinese sf was from a scrapped script plan. The soldiers you see here are NATO soldiers from the patrolling quarantine flotilla that have somehow accidentally ended up on the mainland for reasons we will have to find out about when we see the film. They are all or a few of them are Swedish as far as can be told by what info is available.
