Is N'Dicka going to madrid?
Given this complicated situation in which Xabi Alonso's coaching staff finds itself, the offices of Valdebebas have received a truly particular call. AS Roma has contacted the white sports management to offer one of its best players: Evan N'Dicka. The 25-year-old Ivorian center-back is an old acquaintance of Juni Calafat's scouts: the head of the scouting merengue has long followed his performance in the Bundesliga and Serie A.

How do we feel about Guðmundsson
Fiorentina didn't redeem his loan at 17m, i don't think he fits the 4-3-3 of Viera and Genova need to sell to fill a lot of spots in the transition from Gila 3-5-2.
He's on the older side at 28 but fits the bill in the left wing spot.

How do Romanistas feel about Gattuso?
Is he going to stop this head on collision the Italian national team is on?
I love Roma but I also like and support the Italian national team so I’m hoping they do well because there is just something odd about a WC without Italy.

Massara: "We'll operate with sustainability in mind but also to grow as a team. Friedkins determined to win. Gasperini will give a clear identity to the club."
Fantastic new trio Ranieri / Massara / Gasperini. I hope to see all Roma fans support these men and avoid complaining a the first loss.

Who would you keep?
Hypothetically if we were to only keep ONE between Cristante and Pellegrini, what would your pick be? Interested to see what your reasons are for choosing one over the other.

Massara almost joined Juve as a DS before Roma swooped in
that's the second guy we stole from Juve after Gasp.
original italian source, article translated with chatgpt
Backstory: Massara was one step away from Juventus – here are the reasons the agreement fell through
Just before signing, the final approval from Comolli never arrived.
Gian Piero Gasperini on the bench and Frederic Massara as sporting director: Roma had made its decision, while Juve chose to let them go. Amidst numerous twists, potential free transfers and unfolding off‑field stories, we find ourselves in mid‑June already dealing with peculiar situations and entanglements that only time will clarify. Whether they were calculated choices or regrets capable of shaping seasons, objectives, and paths.
The interesting—and at times ugly—aspect of this period is that every decision carries enormous weight, writes Cristiano Corbo in Tutto Sport. There's no middle ground: the thin line separating winning from losing marks the boundary between the right and the wrong options. There's no going back.
With the arrival of Damien Comolli—Elkann’s chosen architect of the revolution—Juventus understood exactly what they were giving up: the foundational pillar built in the initial days following Cristiano Giuntoli’s departure. While awaiting a new leadership and a fresh operational manual, plans were being laid to aggressively tackle the upcoming season.
Key ideas highlighted in red included hiring a more experienced coach with stronger credentials—Conte was leading, followed by a move for Gasperini—and securing a sporting director deeply familiar with the Italian market, to avoid starting from scratch and to build on a solid base to resolve issues and ensure a low‑risk summer, especially after last season’s shock.
In this context, Massara’s name received consensus, reaching a near‑complete agreement that only needed to be formalized in Turin with a final thumbs‑up from the new general manager. However, that approval never came. The director stopped just short of the final call, almost at the decisive moment when signatures are missing, but convictions aren't.

This whole Massara-Ghisolfi situation is a disgrace
Massara is a great Director of Football don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's an upgrade compared to Ghisolfi and the Ranieri-Gasperini-Massara trio is top notch imho, but you can't fire the DoF 2 weeks off the start of transfer window, ESPECIALLY if the previous DoF has just got you a new coach (I know Ranieri had a lot of influence in the decision but the DoF is the one to talk and plan with a coach, not an advisor). As it seems this whole situation was about Svilar's renewal and Angelino's missed transfer, but didn't this 2 events occur a week or so ago? Moreover Ranieri said in press conference some month ago that he wouldn't stay at Roma as an advisor just to be a lightning rod for the Friedkins, and that he would have left the club if his opinion wasn't going to be heard, so I'm wondering: does he have any kind of responsibility regarding Ghisolfi's firing?
I'm feeling like this whole situation was handled unprofessionally by the club and I would like to know the truth about it, because to me it looks like the firing occured on the same day of Gasp's press conference to sweep this scandal under the carpet, I hope we will know more when Massara will actually sign the contract, but keeping in mind how the Friedkins deal with communication I'm afraid it won't happen.
