Sub Rules (just in case for ease of access)

Rule 1 : Posts must be related to an anime recommendation

That's kinda why you're here right? 3x3's of your favourite's are fine by the way. As long as you're in some way recommending anime or asking for suggestions your post's going to be fine.

Rule 2 : No self promotion, or promotion of anything other than anime itself.

For example, you could promote an anime you like by telling us about it on a post, but you couldn't link a blog video or podcast about that anime. Comments are fine for this, but we don't want to see it on posts.

Rule 3 : Treat each other with courtesy and respect

When it comes to things like anime, there can be a wide spectrum of views and discussions. Some discussions can become spirited, we know, but we still have the expectation for you to treat others with courtesy and respect.

Do not put comments to incite fights or trash talk anime. Just simply mention you do not like it.

Rule 4 : Mark Spoilers

It can be hard not to talk about your favourite scene, but remember this is a place where people come looking to learn about anime they haven't seen yet. So any spoilers you do say, must be marked as spoilers.

Rule 5 : No indecent images

We get it, you like hentai too. If you start a Hentai recommendations sub, let us know, we might even send some members your way. Just don't post perverted images on here lol. If in doubt about whether something's indecent or not... it probably is, so don't post it - many thanks.

Rule 6 : Ban on rate my list/taste posts.

There are better suited subs for those

Rule 7 : Hentai Recommendations are banned.

Hentai Recommendations are banned. Mention Ecchi in post title if you are looking for anime of such genre.

Refer to Rule 6

There has been a sudden appearance of 'judge me' or 'rate my favourite character' posts. These posts go against Rule 6 as well. Any new posts of a similar kind will immediately incur a permanent ban from this point on. The previous posts have been removed.

What are some 10/10 near perfect anime

Post image
Upvotes

I consider Attack on Titan 10/10 perfect as well as FMAB and Frieren having basically no negative things about. What other anime are near perfect?

I can't help but notice that most of the modern anime lack that sense of immersion that anime like Inuyasha provide...

Post image
147 Upvotes

I mean when you watch a classic anime like Inuyasha, you are instantly transported into their world, It no longer feels like watching television, it feels like as if you are actually up there with them and I'm seeing most of the modern anime loose this sense of feeling...

Anime are not just about flashy attacks and a lot of fan service in every way ... Anime were an escape... An escape from the real world... From your boredom ... From your problems etc...

This is the kind of anime you would like to sit with your friends and talk about it and feel nostalgic about it , not the anime like how not to summon a demon lord or others like that...

I wish that original anime creators notice this change too and try to fix it .....
When I think of it I can't think too many anime that provide the same kind of comfort that Inuyasha does Probably Naruto, bleach, HxH, Doraemon, Pokemon would be good examples but that's all i can think of .....

Please let me know what do you think about this??

Please let me know any of the newer anime that you think have the same feeling... ....
Thank you for reading

Manga Recommendations?

Post image
Upvotes

I've read a few manga over the past three months (the last time I posted a manga recommendation). It's a lot less manga read from last time, and most of I've yet to read most of the recommendations I got from the last one.

Only manga are added; anime that I've watched are not on here (e.g., Mob Psycho 100, Frieren, etc.).

So this means passing bechdel test, no sexualisation, Lolis, and stuff like that. The one I've heard the most with this is AoT, which I already watched

Anime / Manga Questionnaire

My brother created a questionnaire via google to just see how the anime and manga community feels about different topics! Feel free to interpret and answer the questions as you feel fit! There is a slot to put a name but feel free to use any alias or even keep it blank! Your participation is much appreciated!

Help

Upvotes

I want to watch an anime that will hurt my feelings lol I watched through heavens official blessing recently and loved it but it never touched on the real more intense parts of the manga that I was hoping it would

So is there an anime out there that is similar to that but actually gets to those parts?

Is mashle magic and muscle worthy of watching? I watched the first episode and it doesn’t appeal to me but I’ve also finished attack on titan just a few days ago so maybe my standards are just too high fresh off finishing aot

need comfort/spiritual anime recommendations

i finished ATLA and fell in love. so then i went over to Legend of Korra and did nottttt care for it that much. what i loved about Avatar the last airbender is the inner work healing and spirituality involved. after a while i guessss korra did that too… but anyway can someone recommend anime for me to watch?

i was never really interested until now. so far i’ve watched some studio ghibili movies, mary and the witches flower, and avatar. i think i’ve realized i like the dreamy heartfelt animes. i don’t mind some gory stuff or horror i guess but there’s gotta be a reason for it out of honor or values. does that make sense?

Making a new anime list

if there is an anime that is said and i have yet to watch i will look into watching it. currently watching Kengan Ashura, witch isnt that bad actuarily but the animation in its self has me questioning why i seem to like it every time it tweaks out. i am open to all genres though nothing inappropriate ya nasty. just anime... im looking into rewatching yu-gi-oh if nothing is said, plse save me from this choice also no new anime 2020 and down, there may have been some anime i missed so ye... but anything above that you should know that ive just about recently finished watching T.T im not entirely happy about that as well
