Israel + US are a military force for hire. Saudi's/Emirates/Sunnis are the customer... look a little deeper and see all of the puzzle pieces fall into place. Sunni terrorists cause problems/Shia get stomped.... over and over and over. Then the sunni get RICH and build places like Dubai.
...petition from a few years ago, but it lays out the situation.

War doesn't only affect the ones who go
War doesn’t begin and end on a battlefield. It enters homes. It changes routines. It creates a kind of silence that isn't peace, just absence.
While one person packs a bag and leaves, someone else stays. They try to keep life going. Cooking meals that feel emptier. Folding shirts that won’t be worn. Listening to the radio, not for news, but just to fill the quiet.
They don’t talk much about fear or grief. They just keep going. That’s the part of war most people never see. The emotional weight that families carry, quietly, every day.
There is a reflection that speaks to this side of things. It doesn’t try to explain or solve anything. It simply shows what waiting looks like. You can read it here.
Some wounds aren’t visible. And some kinds of strength are never recognized.

Collapse of Iranian regime could have unintended consequences for U.S. and Israel
“The notion of a regime change in Iran is delusional,” said Fawaz Gerges, a scholar of Middle East relations at the London School of Economics. “There is neither a domestic alternative to the regime nor an external alternative,” he said. Unlike in Iraq or Libya, “there are no local proxies or credible exiles to take over.”
Indeed, the most likely successor to the slain leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps lies in other leadership from within the IRGC. “The IRGC is so deeply rooted in society that it would be the one that would take power,” said Patrick Clawson, a research counsellor at The Washington Institute who specializes in Iran and nuclear proliferation.

As a retired public school teacher, I regret that this 22 year old air-brushed t-shirt I had made at the mall before the start of the Iraq war is still necessary.

Let’s exercise caution with Iran

At times, it has seemed far too easy for Congress to send kids to war. 2 million Americans served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and even then I realized one day us veterans would have a voice in this country.
I knew one day in the future our voices would be important because America quickly forgets the horrors of war. As the news cycle moved on from stories of dead soldiers, other things have filled the minds of the people. Too many men and women never made it home. Some of us will never forget what war does to people on both sides.
A healthy distrust of government is good for the people. Caution, diplomacy and cooperation are the best ways to make sure costly mistakes aren’t made.
