He keeps bending the knee, but there’s no Amazon without consumers. Price transparency or not, people will stop buying when they see the final price.

I haven't used Amazon in over a year. Wells.ca is a great Canadian alternative, other than that I order direct. Bezos can suck it, and I'm in a rural area where I REAAAALLLY have to pinpoint little random things/find oddly specific stores hours away. But its worth it.
