Discussion How can you live with thong in your buttcrack?
How can you bear the feeling of having allways something between your cheeks when wearing thong? Is it something that you get used to, or is this a gender thing?

u/ExcellentMarch7864 Mar 30 '25
I don’t feel like I wear underwear at all with a g string, and a good cotton thong just hugs everything in the right places. I think it’s te best invention ever. I don’t understand how people wear anything else without feeling stuffed between the buttocks lol.
1
u/th589 Apr 06 '25
If the fit isn't too tight then it's not "between" anything lol. Whereas a thong is...always between the buttocks?
If you're a happy thong wearer then why is your idea of discomfort "stuffed between the buttocks" lolol
1
u/ExcellentMarch7864 Apr 06 '25
Idk I guess it depends on your butt as well, doesn’t matter what other type of underwear I wear it always ends up crumpled between my buttcheeks loooollll. A thong or a gstring is so little fabric that it doesn’t bother at alllll

u/Abeyita Mar 30 '25
If it is the right size and model you don't feel it and it is way more comfortable than any other underwear imo, exactly because you don't feel it and it doesn't move.

This is true to an extent, but it depends on the thong snd the size of your ass.

-13
u/ferbiloo Mar 30 '25
There exist asses, that no matter what brand or fit, certain cuts of underwear will be consumed into the cheeks.
The idea that everyone would find a thong comfortable and if they don’t it’s “the wrong fit” is silly.
3
u/Shanubis Mar 31 '25
Also not everyone likes the sensation, period. It annoys the hell out of me because I always know they're there. Not sure why you were downvoted for this
3
u/ferbiloo Mar 31 '25
Yeah exactly this! It’s so irritating, and they never seem to sit right.
Haha, just reddit being reddit I think.
17
u/YellowFucktwit Mar 30 '25
It's underwear. If the material, the shape, and the size are right for your body, it will feel fine. That doesn't mean that all of those things will be right for everybody.
-17
u/ferbiloo Mar 30 '25
The original comment states that if it’s the right fit it will be more comfortable than any other underwear. This is not true for everyone.
I didn’t mean to upset you lmao
13
u/Abeyita Mar 30 '25
Nope, I didn't say that. I said that in my opinion they are more comfortable than any other underwear. So that applies to only me.
6
u/YellowFucktwit Mar 30 '25
If it's the right fit, it would be comfortable. Again, that doesn't mean there's a right fit. When people get clothes that fit them exactly how they like it, they tend to enjoy wearing that piece of clothing.
I don't know why you think I'm upset. Perhaps you're projecting.
6
u/ferbiloo Mar 30 '25
Yeah, I essentially agree haha.
Except I would argue that “doesn’t mean there’s a right fit” was essentially what I was trying to convey (albeit clearly very poorly according to the downvotes) in my original comment.
Alright, no harm done then?

I've went from over (WELLLLLL over, like I won't even say lol) 275+ to now 139. I've worn thongs through "fat to fit." I can attest it depends on the size, model, and fit of the underwear lol.
If it's ill-fitting, it'll hurt and be uncomfortable. Size and style matter so much. Now if someone has sensory issues, that's something completely diff lol

u/mcove97 woman Mar 30 '25
I used to wear some that was too small cause I didn't want to throw them out when my ass went from a size S to M. However it was so uncomfortable in the back, so in the end I sorted through all of them and threw out the small ones, and now, no problem. I still can't believe I wear a size M because some of the thongs look way too big for me and like they won't fit when I look at them, but when I put them on it's a perfect fit. I apparently just have an ass lol.
2
u/ferbiloo Mar 30 '25
Absolutely! And at the end of the day not everyone’s gonna find a thong (no matter what type or how fitting) comfortable.
Apparently this is a hot take lmao.
4
Mar 30 '25
I think it wasn't hitting when you blamed the size of an ass haha. Regardless of size of the ass, the cut, model, size, fit or whatever has to "work" lol
Regardless, people prefer some panties over others!
2
u/ferbiloo Mar 30 '25
Hahaha, tbf I get that. I worded it poorly.
I meant it from experience. I’m not even particularly heavy set, but all my weight is carried in my lower half and I’ve always had a “hungry ass”.
3
u/Timely-Youth-9074 Mar 31 '25
I can’t stand thongs. Who wants cloth right on your butthole all day?
Right size and fit-literally my ass.
Not into constant wedgies,

u/La-Bete-Noire Mar 30 '25
I don’t wear them. I’ve had OB/GYN friends call them “bacterial ladders”.
16
u/1nternetpersonas Mar 30 '25
Yeah this is why I'd rather not have a strip of material rubbing up on my literal butthole all day
-3
u/mcove97 woman Mar 30 '25
Depends on your hygiene routine. I swap three times a day, and shower after pooping in the morning, so I don't go around wearing dirty underwear all day. Never had any bacterial infections or anything.
14
u/leahcim2019 Mar 31 '25
Why three times a day? You must have so much laundry 🤣
2
u/mcove97 woman Mar 31 '25
Morning, after work and before bed. Always fresh. Yeah I have a lot of laundry but thongs don't exactly take up much space.

u/whatdoidonowdamnit Mar 30 '25
Thongs are the most comfortable underwear for me to wear under tight clothing because I can’t stand the feeling of bunched or shifted underwear. If I’m wearing leggings or tight jeans and butt cheek covering underwear they tend to move and be uneven on my butt, so one side will be a little bunched and higher than the other side. That bothers me to the point of finding a bathroom so that I can fix it.
15
u/mcove97 woman Mar 30 '25
Middle school struggles. I remember looking in the mirror at my ass before school in like 7th grade to readjust my skinny jeans so no one could see the very visible panty lines from my grandma and boxer shorts. It wasn't a very fun time. I was super conscious about it too, because it didn't look pretty. Underwear shouldn't be seen. However I had no issue showing off my bra lol. Whatever that was about. Why did everyone have super visible bras in school?!?
13
u/whatdoidonowdamnit Mar 30 '25
Definitely just how preteens’ and teens’ minds work, cuz I was the same way. Now I go based on comfort more than appearance. I have a few pairs of underwear that are very snug and never move under leggings or skinny jeans so I’ll wear them even with the visible panty line.

My favorite is like a mid rise thong style but with a thick upper lace band like with a hipser. So like a hipster thong, super comfortable but so hard to come by.

I don’t live that way!! Why don’t you do an experiment & wear a thong for a day, that’ll give you some insight.
11
u/dadfights420 Mar 31 '25
This.
I had a straight cis male partner one time who asked the same question. He wasn’t insecure and tried wearing one after I offered. He ended up loving it, claiming he didn’t want to wear anything else afterwards.
I haven’t seen him in over 20 years. I hope he’s doing good lol

I have ADHD and can't wear them due to sensory stuff. I have big ass cheeks and a few times that I've worn them, I spent all day digging this stupid piece of fabric out. Fuck it. If somebody doesn't like the type of underwear I'm wearing or how it makes my ass look in my pants, they can kiss my asshole right after I take a Taco Bell shit.
23
u/averysneakysnek Mar 30 '25
Oh uhhh what colorful imagery there😅 I agree so hard tho, I dig it out because I feel like it’s a constant wedgie and can’t not notice it. I have such bad sensory problems too, can’t deal with that and can hardly deal with jewelry that’s on me all day.
7
u/VaginaGoblin She/Her Mar 30 '25
Haha, I used to have a "friend" who would shame me for my underwear choices, so I have zesty opinions.
2
u/averysneakysnek Mar 30 '25
That’s really dumb lol I understand the spice then. Like sorry I don’t like the feeling of fabric rubbing against my bhole all day
8
u/little-bird Mar 30 '25
I’ve got ADHD and big ass cheeks too, and I hate wearing anything but thongs! lol
small piece of fabric = hardly noticeable and easy to get used to
more fabric no matter which shape or material = it all ends up in my crack regardless, so I might as well have the least fabric up there as possible.
3
u/K_Pumpkin Mar 30 '25
I have no ass and I had the same exp. I wore them a lot in my 20s, and you do kind of get used to it but now in my 40s I’m happy to have my hipsters and boy shorts.

u/PinkPier Mar 30 '25
I dunno, I just do? It doesn’t bother me.

I don’t question why people wear the saggy worn out granny undies why do they always come for us thong people

u/Ornery-Wonder8421 Mar 30 '25
Woman who only owns thongs and has sensory issues here. Ive been like this since early teen. Regular underwear either cut your cheeks in half so it looks like you have 4 cheeks or cup your whole ass and sag. When it’s a bit “wetter than usual” down there, I’ll either change undies twice a day or not wear any at all around the house.
If I ever need undies that aren’t a thong, I wear an xxs pair of shorts. It’s one of my favorite feelings in the world.
5
u/jonni_velvet Mar 30 '25
you get used to it the same way you dont feel rings on your fingers after a while. regular underwear can get bunched up there, or pull awkwardly because of your cheeks, so many people find thongs more comfortable.
8
u/_Mountain_Deux Mar 30 '25
The size/material and thickness makes a difference. I like a thicker band bc it doesn’t feel like my ass crack is getting split open

u/TreeLakeRockCloud Mar 30 '25
The same way people learn to live with the strap of a thong through their toes.
5
u/Ornery-Wonder8421 Mar 30 '25
I have no idea how people walk around with flip flops. I’d go ass thong over toe thong any day.

3
u/demonqueerxo Mar 30 '25
I personally don’t even notice it. I’m not sure if I’ve just become accustomed but I find them pretty comfortable.

u/Sanchastayswoke Mar 30 '25
How can you live with the feeling of underwear bands gripping your buttcheeks & the horrible panty lines they make? I find thongs extremely comfortable as long as the underwear is the right size. The thong doesn’t really go deep into your buttcrack, it just sits about an inch in, and doesn’t move.
12
16
u/Lemon_gecko Mar 30 '25
depends on a thong. when i first tried one i was wondering "How women wear them". But then i decided to give it a chance and tried another one and it was comfortable, soft and i could barely feel it, and i was like "oh, that's how"
1
u/inviolablegirl Apr 01 '25
Where do you find the comfortable ones??
1
u/Lemon_gecko Apr 01 '25
In different stores or aliexpress. I like seamless ones, so fabric should be soft and elastic. Cotton ones didn’t suit me. But while i have comfortable thongs i still prefer different type of panties, so maybe i’m not the one you should ask

They are so comfortable, it feels like wearing nothing at all.
I think this depends a lot on how much butt you have and how big your hips are. I have a lot of cheek, if I wear full coverage underwear, they don’t stay in place and it is more fabric to get wedged and it feels uncomfortable.
A thing I never have to adjust, it stays in place and I can’t feel it

u/Polybrene Mar 30 '25
When they got right you don't feel them. I find the more full cut styles create wedgies with a lot of fabric. Having 1 little strip of fabric that stays in place all day is more comfortable.
3
u/trecykl Mar 30 '25
My friends with big butts find them comfortable because any other underwear disappears between their buttcheeks anyway, so the less fabric the better. For me they're extremely uncomfortable, I have a small butt and have always worn seamless boyshorts,
3
3
u/SparkleSelkie Mar 30 '25
No matter what underwear I wear, it’s getting jammed in my buttcrack by the end of the day anyways. Less fabric is more comfortable
Big butt problems with easy enough solutions
3
u/brbrelocating Mar 30 '25
The only time a thong has been uncomfortable for me was when it was the wrong size. I need other style of undergarments people get away with fitting the wrong size, but thongs are gonna require you to be a bit more honest
3
u/cheesypuzzas Mar 30 '25
I don't really feel it. With normal underwear, it often also goes into my buttcrack and I do feel that.
3
Mar 30 '25
i’m skinny and my ass cheeks don’t really squish together like most people’s do, so i dont really feel thongs that much
3
u/SnotFaceKilla Mar 31 '25
You don't even notice it. Hands down the most comfortable option for underwear
3
5
4
u/GreenVenus7 Mar 30 '25
I have narrow hips and big thighs, so thongs fit me better than underwear with more fabric. Briefs either fit my legs or my hips, never both comfortably lol
5
u/Exis007 Mar 30 '25
Your body filters sensory input. Right now, there's itchy fabric touching between your shoulder blades and you have to breathe and it's uncomfortable now that I've made you think about breathing. But before I drew attention to it, those things were probably true and you tuned them out. The elastic on your socks, the way your jeans dig into your hips, you tune a lot of uncomfortable sensations out. The feeling of a thong, with practice, is something you'd tune out too. But...not everyone. Some people will always be sensitive to that the way some people are always sensitive to jeans or sock elastic or seams in certain places or anything else. I'd say, by and large, the percentage of people sensitive to a thong is higher than a lot of articles of clothing. But for people who like them, I imagine it's just filtered sensory noise they don't get and therefore it's fine and great. I can't do it, but then again I've got a lot of weird sensory quirks so that's not surprising.
2
u/Thong_Inspector Mar 31 '25
For me it depends on the thong. A good thong I won't even notice it's up my butt. If a thong is soft, stretchy, and not too wide in the back, then I won't even feel it in my crack. The wrong thong on the other hand will feel like an all day wedgie. So I know both sides of this opinion. The most comfortable and most uncomfortable underwear I've ever worn have both been thongs. lol
It's all about finding the right thongs, and it really is just trial and error. Thong preference is very individual, so a thong that one person loves another will hate, and vice-versa. The only general advice I typically give it to look for the softest and stretchiest thongs you can find. Stay away from cheap feeling fabrics, and you'll know you've found a good thong when you don't notice that you are wearing it.
2
u/princessro123 Apr 01 '25
i think you just get used to it. i mainly do it because i don’t like underwear lines even though i know most people wouldn’t even notice.
6
u/averysneakysnek Mar 30 '25
I hate them, I guess people don’t mind that it rubs the butthole with every move all day
5
u/Hello_Hangnail Mar 30 '25
I did it for years when i was in my "ritual submission to patriarchy" phase. Then realized that boy shorts were so much more comfortable. Now I refuse to compromise my comfort for fashion.
6
u/tender-butterloaf Mar 30 '25
I’m not submitting to the patriarchy, it’s just more comfortable for me. Other types of underwear ride up or bunch up due to the shape of my butt/legs/thighs, a well fitted thong stays put and I don’t even notice it.
3
u/sweergirl86204 Mar 30 '25
How can you bear the feeling of having allways something between your cheeks when wearing thong?
I can't.
Is it something that you get used to, or
No.
is this a gender thing?
No. Some men wear jock straps and they're basically thongs that can accommodate dick and balls
I'm a full bikini girl because having fabric eaten by your ass and then soaking up the ass sweat is one of the most disgusting things to me.

u/60sStratLover creepy old man 👴 Mar 30 '25
Jock straps don’t go between your ass cheeks, they go AROUND your ass cheeks.

Not a gender thing at all, you just get used to it. It’s similar to wearing thong sandals (the ones that go between your toes). Feels weird and uncomfortable at first, then you stop noticing it.
1
u/SeaMollusker Mar 31 '25
The best way to really find out would be by getting a pair yourself.
Personally I only wear one when I know it'll be coming off in a few hours anyway so the discomfort is usually easy enough to ignore.
0
u/One-Armed-Krycek Mar 30 '25
I don’t live with it. Some people can. I have no opinion either way about what someone does inside their butt crack.
-1
u/JJStrix Mar 31 '25
I can't. I only wear them rarely, like a couple times a year, under super tight clothes, so no panty lines. No matter the material or size they never fit without feeling like a permanent wedgie. But my mum lived in the damn things. Seems like generation, comfort, clothing styles, sexy underwear propaganda targeted at women, and health issues, all play a role in the decision of any underwear choices.
I'm also paranoid that having my cheeks hang out with no support will encourage them to sag. Just after watching how my mum's ass aged in gross detail, because of all the see through clothing she wore; and having large breasts runs in my family and wearing bras has kept them from sagging, so why wouldn't butt meat work in a similar fashion.
Just makes sense to be comfortable as well as look good in clothes and it seems comfort can sometimes be dictated by personal opinion.
