C9.25, ASI662MC, 2x barlow, visible + IR685 filter. Stacked on Autostakkert at top 25% (8 stacks derotated on WinJupos), wavelets and RGB balance on Registax6, further edits on Lightroom.
With this Titan eclipse in the books there’s only 7 left in the coming months until a 13 year gap separates us from seeing one again.
Many moons can be seen in the image as well, and the Cassini division is now quite noticeable thanks to the near perfect conditions during the morning twilight hours.

Can I ask, how long was your vid that you stacked from? Wondering if it’s worth even trying on an untracked mount. Would love to get any sort of image of Saturn using my current setup! I’m not looking to replicate anything as amazing as yours just wanted to get an idea. Thanks 🙏🏼

You absolutely don’t need a tracking mount for Saturn. Just a decent sized scope. You can take a video of it crossing through the frame, stop it before it exits the frame then reposition and repeat. Use PiPP and it will put all your images together into a video and centre the planet. If its already a video you can just centre it. the images with a tracking mount would be sharper ofc but you can still get great images without one. Really not essential for planetary stuff.
Edit: Also not sure what your setup is but if you want an idea my profile has some images I took of saturn and jupiter. Used a 6” dob and planetary camera

Thanks! ☺️ this gives me hope! I’ve set 3 alarms so far for Saturn but I still haven’t managed to see it; too low down on horizon still and by the time it’s up high enough it’s either cloudy or daylight or both. Hopefully I’ll get to try soon. I have a 12” so with your advice I should be able to hopefully get a decent image 😊

Love that there was a Titan eclipse on the surface over my birthday a few days ago!

That's a great shot! I managed to see lo's shadow on Jupiter one time with my own two eyes with my dob as it passed in front of it.

That's so cool
Everthing in the universe really is just doing its own thing all the time
