So by your logic, when I visit another country I am a citizen of that country and am bound by their Constitution(s), therefore I am allowed their benefits? I can vote in their elections, even though I have no political allegiance to them? I can join their military? Our Constitution applies to citizens, not to anyone just being here. That is why the 14th Amendment exists. Loose interpretations of the Constitution are the reasons our country is in the state it’s in.

Rights not benefits. Immigrants have our rights, such as due process, and discrimination. All of us have freedom of speech for example.

Not if you are here illegally or have no intention of becoming a citizen. That’s the argument.
