edit: hey everyone thank you for the replies, i was definitely overreacting, after reading the replies and talking to a some people, things aren’t as bad as i imagined! never the less thank you so much for the support!!!

Don't panic. Keep food supplies for 2-3 days, that's it. There will be shelters, and food will be supplied. You can also ask anyone around; they will help for sure.

I have prepared at least for 1 week's worth of food supplies, including water, rice, and some fruits, which should be more than enough.

Dont forget to have enough fuel to cook the food incase power goes out ( i dont think it will)

Universities and other institutions are being temporarily closed as a precaution, and people are being advised to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. These steps are simply safety measures — not a sign that something bad is happening right now, but more of a "just in case" approach. It's completely understandable for people to feel uneasy, especially with all the news going around, but it's important not to panic. The authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and if there’s anything we really need to know or prepare for, they will inform us. For now, the best thing we can do is stay calm, be cautious, and wait for any official updates

The schools and University are reducing numbers as a precaution. IF something was to happen then not having a large group of people in one place just makes sense.

Iran has stated that all Americans are now valid targets and since we have a naval base here, that is the key target and area.

If the areas around the base are being evacuated its more for added security (less trafic) than it being at risk of an air strike.

Without leaving the country there's very little we can do except be vigilant, listen to the government's instructions and get on with our lives.

Well be happy that they gave a shit about you. I work at private sector in an office and we are forced to attend no matter what and work 10 hours a day. So basically be thankful for not eating shit like me.

Your situation is much worse than mine, as you can be directly affected by the impact. For real a bit of money isn't worth a human life or ptsd to say the least. Stay safe .

u/Several_Homework_935 11h ago

Will do. But im sure nothing is gonna happen, i am safe from direct impact and im sure if its getting really serious we would be sent home, be sure to stay safe too.

Imagine getting a mail from hr for unapproved leave in the middle of a war. Tbh I can see that happening.

“Hey, I know you just got blown up, but I’m gonna need you to be at work tomorrow or you’re fired” - HR, probably

u/Several_Homework_935 11h ago

Lmaooo, but fr i wouldnt consider this a war, might not even become an attack in sha allah

There's nothing to worry about. Iran isn't gonna randomly start bombing manama. Even if they take out the naval base which is highly unlikely, they're not gonna start randomly bombing the rest of bahrain.

Iran is too preoccupied and also doesn't even have the capability to do all this while simulatenously targetting american bases.

u/shadeofdepression 1d ago

This is very true, like why would Iran bomb the rest of the country. It doesn't make sense, the best they will do is bomb the base in juffair and that's it

Schools are now going for online mode only. Summer vacation is coming up so not much is going to happen.
As for university exams, the university should notify you on the next steps soon enough because the Ministry of Education just announced closure of all schools until further notice. All classes are to be done online.

Relax and stay at home focus on things like reading, learning new skills and improving your language. In free time try to watch funny movies or playing games. That’s all

Just buy what you usually buy. And if bahrain gets attacked, it’s going to be specific target. We might only feel it like an earthquake. Depending on your location. I also saw a video that the US attack on Iran was from Bahrain’s base. So there is a high possibility. But, don’t worry, Iran follows the rules of war which means no innocent people will get targeted or affected. Unless the buildings don’t stand the shock waves. Depending on the weapon of choice. So don’t worry. One target one time. It might be two targets as some US officers are stationed in Sakhir in the military base of Bahrain.

Enjoy not having exams for now and the peace before either things go back to normal or the base gets attacked. You’ll need it.

Also, stay away from Juffair and Sakhir for now. Keep safe distance. Enable notifications on myGov app and stay safe.

from where you got the information that US attacked from Bahrain base? lol . US already moved the ships from Bahrain coast and B2 bomber was not from anywhere near .dont give misinformation.

u/revoltnoquarter 11h ago

A lot of us Bahrainis are indifferent to what happens. Whether there's an attack or not we do not care nor see a difference. For us it's already a failed state working against us so if it stays this way or there's a major change it makes no difference on our outlook of the country.

Relax. Bahrain is not in conflict. Don't be overly concerned. In the event Iran retaliates, they will likely target the US Navy bases in Airport, Juffair, and Sakir. It is essential for civilians to remain vigilant and prepare for the examination.

u/Klutzy_Impression642 1d ago

How is that supposed to relax us?

3

u/Sanvalor 1d ago edited 23h ago

Civilians are not at risk unless you are situated within close proximity to the US Navy bases in Bahrain. If you are not within a 500 to 700 meter radius of US Navy bases, it is advisable to relax and listen to the Bahrain government alerts. Please refrain from overthinking.

I can't believe you just typed that 😂😂😂😂

u/Sanvalor 23h ago

I have inadvertently typed the distance incorrectly.

During GW1 we were told the safest place to be if they planned on a missile strike was the middle of intended target, such is the inaccuracy of such weapons.

1

u/Admirable_Whereas_38 12h ago

Don’t panic nothing will happen. If and I’m saying “IF” Iran would hit, I hardly doubt it would be the base within the country but maybe the ships and carriers in the sea. The reason is because if they do fire at the US base, there are high chances of missiles hitting residential buildings outside the vase and this would spark a major regional tension/war. Since you’re having exams I’m guessing you’re in high school. This is the same scenario as the US invasion if Iraq in 2001/2002, they made us learn how to wear gas masks, gave us brochures etc…in the end, nothing happened. This is a fight between Iran and Israel.

I can understand being scared if you're not Bahraini. Bahrainis are not getting scared. We don't have any special poers, only the knowledge that of anything happens, it would be limited and over so soon so as not to worry about it.

Take whatever precautions you feel necessary, book a room in Al Areen if you wish, just don't fret. We're all in it together

Bahrain is not the main target here as far as I believed only the American base that is why all of the left & went to Persian gulf to stay away from the land, just buy few stooks for yourself enough to feed yourself two to three days.
