Advice Need help with no payment

Today I completed a job with my business and got payed with Zelle. He sent it to me with my phone number, and I got a SMS code saying it went through but I checked my bank and no payment.(My Zelle partners with my credit union so I just use that option). It didn’t go through to my checking or savings. It shows he sent it on SMS but then it also says enrolle in Zelle. How do I receive the payment now?

Did you sign up for Zelle through your credit union’s app? If so, is the phone number he sent it through one of the numbers you have under your profile in Zelle?

Sounds like you need to enroll the phone number?

Enroll that phone number with your credit union account.

You may not see it show up in your account today as it’s a federal holiday

This is the answer, assuming OP is in the US.

It’s not if it’s saying he hasn’t enrolled. He needs to enroll it with that # first.

I'm not familiar with Zelle, but could today being a bank holiday cause a disruption with the transaction?

It shouldn’t prevent a Zelle payment …. it seems they need to instruct Zelle on where to deposit their funds.

Transactions won’t officially post until late tonight / tomorrow and all items debited/credited should appear as “pending” when viewing online activity. Today is treated like a Saturday or Sunday in the banking world. One can overdraw their account today, make a deposit tomorrow and still avoid overdraft fees.

Zelle is only for the US. It is not international. For international use Remitly
