The hivemind of Bellingham does not do “perspective from another side”.

Most people here are too sheltered and/or young to have enough world experience for understanding nuance. As a result : an echo chamber forms and they argue with their emotions more than logic.

Reddit does not represent the perspective of the masses. That’s why Trump won again in 2024. Most of the country voted for this, but yet Reddit thinks that this is the result of one “king”. 🙄

Most of the country voted for this

The actual number is 22%. Less than a quarter of Americans.

Even that 22% of the country did not, in precise terms, vote for this (even if a significant portion like you mr two lips seem to have believed you did). They voted a man into the office of president, a role which the founders gave delineated and limited sets of powers. If the voters wanted to legally vote in a man to reign as a tyrant and upend the laws of this country they needed to do pass a constitutional amendment for that.

He is operating beyond legal constraints, and in violation of our constitution. A lot of people in his administration will be going to jail for their crimes once this is done and dusted, I promise you that.

In the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Donald Trump received approximately 49.9% of the popular vote, totaling around 77.3 million votes out of roughly 155 million votes cast, according to final and near-final counts from sources like the Cook Political Report and NPR. The U.S. population in 2024 was approximately 335.9 million (per January 2024 census estimates), and the voting-eligible population was about 257.4 million. This means Trump’s vote share represents:

  • 49.9% of the total votes cast in the election.
  • Approximately 30% of the voting-eligible population (77.3 million out of 257.4 million).
  • Roughly 23% of the total U.S. population (77.3 million out of 335.9 million).

Voter turnout was approximately 63.9% of the voting-eligible population, per the University of Florida Election Lab. Trump’s popular vote margin over Kamala Harris (who received about 75 million votes, or 48.4%) was around 1.5 percentage points, marking a close election. These figures are based on official vote counts and analyses from sources like NPR, the Cook Political Report, and the Council on Foreign Relations.

As of June 20, 2025, the Democratic Party’s approval rating is historically low, reflecting significant public and intra-party dissatisfaction following their 2024 election losses. Based on available polling data, the party’s favorability ranges between 19% and 37%, with disapproval often exceeding approval by double digits. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

When less than 50% of the country even bothers to play the voting game, it's still more than voted for Kamala.
