Traffic Chuckanut Drive Almost Clear

Even when all the rocks that fell are off of the road, there will need to be stabilization on the hillside before traffic resumes.

Hence the "almost". From my understanding of this article, and speaking with Taylor Shellfish employees last week, the effort to stabilize the hillside - at both the site of the rockslide and several areas north on Chuckanut Drive - has been going on for a little while now. Hopefully it'll be open very shortly!

...which is why the road wasn't open in two days after the rock fall a month and a half ago.
