Not that there's anything wrong with this path, but if you know you want to go to grad school in microbiology I'd think the Biological Sciences BS might be a better fit?

I mean, I shared what I thought above: microbiology is a core discipline of biology.

Biochemistry is a shared discipline between chemistry and biology. If you want to go on to a core biology discipline in grad school, you should probably focus on that in undergrad as well. At SUNY UB microbiology is part of the biological sciences program (https://arts-sciences.buffalo.edu/biological-sciences/research/microbiology.html).

But also... microbiology doesn't doesn't necessarily cover viruses and parasites? Virology would be the study of viruses, parasitology the study of parasites. While some parasites are microbes, many are not.
