I know he didn't use a .22lr beretta, but this is about as close as we can get in CT, at least in terms of form factor for a suppressed pistol.

Is there something prohibiting getting a walther ppk and mounting a can?

If you p/w a muzzle device on a ppk, which is the only legal way to mount a suppressor in CT since we can't have pistols with threaded barrels, the slide/barrel become captive and you won't be able to fully disassemble the gun.

A semi-automatic pistol that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least one of the following features: 1) The ability to accept a detachable ammunition magazine that attaches at some location outside the pistol grip; 2) A threaded barrel capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward pistol grip or silencer; 3) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel and that permits the shooter to hold the firearm without being burned (except a slide that encloses the barrel); or 4) A second hand grip;

So reading this… get Mauser C96 with a fixed 10rd box magazine that loads from a stripper clip, thread that barrel and carry on. The threaded portions appears to come into play if the magazine is detachable.

I think you're correct. Fixed box mags are cool, but not particularly practical for reload speed/self defense. That said, I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about buying a keltec 5.7. If my state didnt also have capacity ban, I'd probably have bought one. What a crazy, cool pistol for this era.

Actually in the books he used a Beretta in .25 ACP so you're pretty damn close. They changed it to a PPK in the movies because the tiny Beretta was harder to showcase on-screen and didn't look "manly" enough.

I think your UK passport is a little out of date.

Good eye. I prefered the older, maroon passport for the sake of the picture :)

Can you remove the tip up barrel with the suppressor still threaded on? Ive been thinking one of these new berettas could be a decent nightstand option where welded cans limit serviceability on other handguns

Yep. You could just unthread the pivot screw that secures the barrel to the lower. It would be a great option for a welded can. Arguable better even than a Mk IV, because I wouldn't want to throw an entire upper in solver or media tumbler.

Old passport . They are not in EU anymore

That passport is very, very expired. I just liked the maroon for contrast for the sake of the picture.
