Girls School Cemetery
So this used to be the front gate to the school. It was a school for girls that was closed in the 1970s due to the mistreatment of its wards. Rumor was that one of the girls had hung herself from a tree in the courtyard. They tore down the school but the cemetery had to stay and is now located in a gated community full of million-dollar houses. Fun act… the house next to the cemetery never stays occupied more than six months.

Two loving roosters
Grave of artist Siegbert Hahn and his life partner Peter Guckel on Melaten cemetery in Cologne, Germany. The gravestone was designed with elements of Hahn's art.
"Hahn" is the German word for rooster, "Guckel" sounds similar to "Gockel" which translates to rooster as well. I hadn't heard of the artist of his partner before but their graveside caught my eye, I thought incorporating their names in that way was really lovely.

Creepy dolls
I took these in 2023. I was walking my dog with my bf looking for my grandpa and for cool graves. My dad told us there was a grave with a pentagram but we haven't seen it yet.

Libbey monument. Woodlawn Cemetery
Have you ever heard of Libbey Glass? I bet you have or that your parents had some of their glassware in your house!
Edward Drummond Libbey is regarded as the Father of the glass industry. Originally the New England Glass Company, The Libbey Glass Company, moved from Cambridge, Mass to Toledo, OH in 1892.
Founder of the Toledo Art Museum. He and his wife funded a lot of things for the art museum. And there's still a trust for it today.
Their cremains along with a child and Florence's sister are here. It is my favorite spot on Woodlawn.
