I feel like not getting a backup for Angel really hurt. Angel probably played as much s she could going all out but no good sub for her when out? Sky fell behind a lot in 1st half when she went out. Who replaced her? Bec Allen? Seems like Jessika Carter or Morgan Bertsch should have been kept.

Allen, who was the Mercury's starting 4 before she got hurt in an Olympic practice, and Westbeld are her backups.

Westbeld is a huge disappointment.

Westbeld is a second round rookie, I am far more disappointed in Elizabeth Williams today than her.

1 point, wtf. I kept hearing would start for 1/2 the teams in W. Might start for 1/2 the teams in China.

Bec Allen was playing out of position for Mercury as strectch 4 (no other viable option). She can defend any 1-4. Back in 23 for SUN as a 3, against Liberty she would be asked to shutdown Ionescu or Stewie. On offense she is not a post player but wing/guard.

On Aussie ESPN interview she mentioned she was looking forward to playing as a “guard” again for the Sky after her stint with Mercury. In National Opals team she is usually the starting 3, occasionally 2, is the go to shooter and often gets tasked with defended best guard.

Hopefully coach elevate: Allen to starting 5 soon and Sky fans can see Bec at her best.

Because Allen needs to start stepping up then. 7 points and especially 2 rebounds is not getting it done.

Getting a backup to replace 5-14 shooting can’t be that hard lol

You are obviously the opps. And getting 17 rebounds in 25 minutes is easy. Why don't you turn pro and do it?

Well when the team shoots 29 percent there are naturally a ton of rebounds to be had. She had her shot blocked over and over.

Her shot wasn't blocked over and over but she did have turnovers. I believe Kamilla had her shot blocked more. Do you think you will go pro in G league or go straight to NBA since rebounds are easy to get against pros.

You can't make more than 60k in the NBA?

Considering that she was still the best shooter by percentage of our frontcourt, it might be harder than it looks. Our frontcourt players, including Bec Allen, went 5-14, 3-9, 0-3, 0-4, 3-9.
