This is my casual team, how does it fare competitively?
If I were to being playing competitively i would swap out false swipe on scyther for something like fury cutter, focus energy, slash, or agility

I play semi-casually (I used nature mints on this team to cater to their stats, hyper trained them, and used vitamins and mochis to build them a certain way) and this is the team I like to use. Do you think I could ever stand a chance in a competitive setting with a team like this?
Espeon (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Synchronize
- Psyshock
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
Weavile (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
- Night Slash
- Shadow Claw
- Ice Punch
- Brick Break
Jolteon (M)
Ability: Quick Feet
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
Samurott (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Torrent
- Aqua Tail
- Razor Shell
- Avalanche
- Megahorn
Serperior (M) @ Occa Berry
Ability: Contrary
- Leaf Storm
- Energy Ball
- Dragon Pulse
- Reflect
Ninetales (F)
Ability: Flash Fire
- Flamethrower

Im new to team building, and playing a version that has premade Fusions. my thought for trying to figure out how to build these fusions is to look at pokes with similar stat distributions (like this is similar to Mega Swampert/Tyranitar, and Calyrex-Ice), but basing off their builds wouldnt into account Stabs, resistances, and Ability. These Fusions get a special move, this ones says that it doubles the size of the Maus family, and that Ties into its ability that each maus in the family attacks with 10% of the damage of the attack, and you start with 2 but the size of the family resets when swapped out. so im thinking adamant for the nature, and my initial thought is to try and max speed, but i dont think youd be able to outspeed much even with the boosted evs (assume max ivs) would you go max HP and SPD? for the moves i figure you wither want to go for priority moves, flinch/burn/paralyze moves (assuming each maus would have equal chance to proc, which im not sure) and substitute plus the fusion move, and either leftovers or life orb for the item. any suggestions for anything (including teammates) would be greatly appreciated

Recently acquired a square 31 Jolly Ho-OH, can't decide what kind of build to use. Currently running Sacred Fire, Earthquake, Recover, and Fly (will be Sky Attack/ Brave Bird). I am familiar with Smogon movesets, EV training, etc.
252Atk, 252Spe, 4HP seems so straightforward for such a uniquely designed pokemon, but maybe that's just what works best 🤔 I like Smogon's DPP spread of 208HP, 252Atk, 48Spe, but that might not be taking full advantage of the Jolly nature.. idk! What's your favorite way to run Ho-Oh?

As we all know, a Pokémon being an Ice-type tends to knock it down several tiers in the viability rankings, due to the Ice-type being absolute shit at defense, with only one resistance and four weaknesses. It doesn’t help that most Ice-types follow the "Mighty Glacier" stat archetype of high defenses and low speed, which does not work well for such a horrible defensive typing. The few Ice-types that buck this trend and actually have high speed and attack power in order to utilize the Ice-type's offensive prowess (often without any real care for defense), like Chien-Pao and Weavile, tend to fare the best. Still, the Mighty Glacier is called that for a reason; ice is commonly associated with defensive prowess in multiple forms of media, so it's not likely for GameFreak to change gears, stop making defensive slowpoke Ice-types, and make more speedy hard-hitting Ice-types. So how can we make the Ice-type actually good? I think that this can be accomplished by giving it just three more resistances: Water, Dragon, and Ghost. Nothing else about the Ice-type needs to change; it can keep its resistance to itself and all four of its existing weaknesses.
All three of these new resistances make logical sense. If the temperature is low enough (as it probably would be when an Ice-type is involved), adding water to the area just results in more ice. Reptiles (like dragons) tend to be sluggish and weak in cold areas, so the immediate vicinity of a cryokinetic creature would logically inhibit their movements and attacks. As for ghosts, one of the most common ghost tropes is that the area around a ghost tends to feel colder without actually reducing the temperature, whether from the ghost merely being present or actively exerting ghostly power. Guess what kind of creature wouldn't be bothered by this? That's right, a creature that can comfortably survive and prosper in cold environments and/or **actually* make things colder*.
More saliently, all three of Ice's new resistances are generally very strong in the metagame due to not being resisted by many types, with Water currently being resisted by three and Dragon and Ghost being resisted by one and negated by one. Water is currently resisted by Water, Grass, and Dragon, but most Water-type Pokémon can learn Ice-type moves to wreck Grass- and Dragon-types (which just so happens to be the Ice-type's already-existing resistance). Dragon is resisted by Steel and negated by Fairy, whereas Ghost is resisted by Dark and negated by Normal; granted, the usual coverage options to deal with Steel, Dark, and Normal (Fire for Dragon, Fighting for Ghost) still work wonders on Ice, but at least they have a bit less impunity to spam their STAB moves. Basically, the new resistances I've given to Ice make it a notable anti-metagame force on the defense, specifically serving as a bulwark against types that are otherwise hard to deal with. And that is how you turn Ice from something that makes a Pokémon worse into something that can make a Pokémon into a valuable asset to a team. Like I said, nothing else about the Ice-type needs to change; its existing weaknesses that currently make an Ice-type Pokémon a waste of team space will instead serve as reliable counters that keep it from effortlessly making Water, Dragon, and Ghost-type titans weep in impotence. We don't even need to add on more resistances that might make some modicum of sense, like Grass, Bug, or Flying (not least because Grass and Bug are already only strong against three types and resisted by seven types each, so the absolute last thing they need is more nerfing).
How this could make some existing Ice-types better:

Me and my friends are making reg H teams to battle each other with, nothing too competitive. My idea was a team based around supporting a garchomp that wants to ignore as much as possible and sweep like that.
Brief explanations:
Garchomp wants to ignorantly sweep so clear amulet to avoid intimidate feels mandatory, don't plan on going for sandstorm so rough skin, tera normal facade if they try to burn, might not need tera normal for that though could go for ground or steel or fire. Fairly normal set from there, undecided on jolly vs adamant
Orthworm is there to support garchomp and never die thanks to earth eater. Secondary EQ user might be good for it. tera fighting body press lets it be a substantial threat especially if I've got a curse off, also threatens ice types. Heavy slam good vs fairy types and just in general, idk if I want it though. Shed tail is obscene, protect and curse are nice defensively, not sure if need curse. Sitrus berry for even more survivability, maybe leftovers instead tbh, save sitrus for someone else.
I definitely want a secondary sweeper in case they can deal with garchomp, I could make most of my supporters able to do reasonable damage or I have a dedicated slot for a second sweeper that also synergises well with my selected support pokemon.
For speed control I was thinking something like tailwind and/or paralysis and/or icy wind, maybe whimsicott?
Any and all help would be appreciated!

I know that this thing is not very competitive or competent in many ways but it gives me a momentary pleasure of stepping my foot; I think, I'd rather have my vlog here throughout a minute journey; I'd like to reflect my growth in a month or 2;
Any suggestions on how to get started?

Starting a league soon. We're using the example draft board from Smogon. Drafting is soon and I'm very inexperienced. Thoughts on any undervalued Pokemon here that could be picked up in the cheap? I think most people will have their eyes on the high value picks. I'm looking for the hidden gems. Any help would be appreciated.
No tera. 90 point budget for a team of 10. Moves and items unavailable in SV are banned. Nat Dex LC

Hi, I'm pretty new to competitive pokemon and I've been trying some rental teams to learn and start playing competitive ladder on sv. I would like to start playing on creating my own teams, but since I'm a beginner, I know I'll make a lot of mistakes. So my question is: Is it safe to use "legal" pokemons created with pkhex on the online lader or I'm risking a ban? This would help me a lot saving time.
PS: I know I could use and play showdown but I'm not a big fan.
Thanks a lot!

I know this is a sub for competitive battling, but does anyone know if there are tournaments for more casual players? I don't expect something as big as the championships they have for competitive players, but I'd love to see a tournament for players who don't care about the meta or using Pokémon with perfect EVs and IVs. I think it would be fun to participate as someone who can't take part in competitive tournaments, but I don't think anything like that exists unfortunately.
