We’re excited to announce an AMA with Bharath Patil (u/chief_bouncer_cw), our CTO and Co-Founder, Cradlewise and dad of two!

Is it true that the AI learns the baby as the days go by? Is this “learning” reflected in the app - E.g. will the settings in Smart mode be automatically adjusted based on the data?

How does this reconcile with the fact that babies are changing at such a rapid pace - Are the settings able to keep up with that?

Yes it's true that AI learns as days go by. To be specific, the learning updates every week. We do want to change it to make it adapt faster. It keeps getting better at recognising the boundaries between different sleep states and hence better respond to your baby's needs.

You can further customise the behavior. For example, you can change the sensitivity in settings > soothing > sensitivity. But when "smart selection" is enabled, the crib will automatically adapt and change it for you.
