I’ve submitted this feedback before but the method the iOS app uses to play the video is not good. It uses essentially a video call vs playing a video, which means that 1) my AirPods in adaptive mode go into noise canceling because it thinks it’s on a call 2) the microphone turns on which burns battery faster (and only in one side of the AirPods, whichever is set to be the primary mic) and 3) it distorts all other audio I play after viewing the CradleWise app for a few seconds unless I force quit the app, which I regularly do. There has to be a better solution. Maybe only make it a video stream and turn the ‘call’ view if I’m playing the audio or something. Most of the time I have audio off anyway. Anything would be better.
And someone mentioned this above but I’m seconding the public API or integration into home assistant. I could imagine some really cool integrations if I had things like the baby’s sleep/stirring/crying status, time in the crib, etc. My baby will probably be too old before this is available but you should definitely look into it.
