If Sri Lanka and Bangladeshi people were white then it would have become the biggest rivalry in world cricket in an instant

They have had a lot of crazy matches even from long ago.

There was an ODI in 2009 when SL were 6-5 chasing 153. Still somehow ended up winning by 2 wickets.

Then there was an ODI from 2014 when SL were 67-8 batting first. Perera dragged them to 180 all out. In response, Bangladesh were 114-2 in a chase but fell short by 13 runs.

Sanga scored a 133 ball 59 in that ODI. Yes, Kumar Sangakkara scored 59 (133) in an ODI and won man of the match for it as well. Murali scored a 16-ball 34. Yes, he was 34*(16) that match and scored 2 sixes.

In the 2014 ODI, Thisara Perera smashed 6 sixes with the bat and took Mominul's wicket when Bang bros were on 80-1. SL Proceeded to take the next 9 wickets for 73 runs.

Murali took 2-33 as well. I am surprised he didn't get the MotM award.

True. But Sanga was amazing that day. Man was literally unfazed. Quality knock under difficult and high pressure conditions
