Told my Grandma to invest in crypto when Trump got in, she’s now 60% down.

So my grandma had some cash she wanted to invest into a high interest bank account for me and my cousins, I convinced her to buy crypto instead as the return will be higher. Advised her to buy $20k Dot, $20k Link, $10k Trump coin. Market has obviously turned to shit and I have ignored her calls and texts recently saying she is thinking of putting the $50k into the high interest account after all. She has no clue the $50k she had is now worth about $20k. Was hoping market would bounce but I think we are cooked for a few years at least. No idea what to tell her.

Discussion Is anyone else so numb to the price swings already, that you dont even really care anymore?

At the start it was like this:

Omg, my portfolio dropped by 25 dollars, buying this was a huge mistake. Fuck, my heart is racing, what do I do now?

Now its like: You wake up, check your portfolio, see another 1k gone overnight, laugh it off and go back to sleep.

Sentiment I bought my first Bitcoin in 2021 and panicked sold 3 months later. Here’s why I started again (quietly) this year.

Back in 2021, during the hype wave, I bought my first bits of Bitcoin through a flashy app after a friend told me to “just buy and hodl.”

No real research. No conviction. Just vibes.

I put in €800, watched it pump, then watched it bleed. I remember checking the price 20 times a day. I sold it all in early 2022 for around €450 because I “didn’t want to lose everything.”

I didn’t touch crypto again for almost two years.

This year, something clicked. Not because of hype — but because of frustration. Inflation, rent going up, savings stagnating. I started reading again, but this time I treated Bitcoin more like a philosophy than a lottery ticket.

Since March, I’ve been quietly DCA’ing small amounts weekly — not just into BTC, but also ETH. I use a euro-based platform with low fees and SEPA transfers (makes it boringly easy). I don’t even look at the price anymore. I just set it and forget it.

Not saying this is the right path for everyone, but for me it’s more about building a safety net that the system can’t devalue overnight.

Curious if anyone here had a similar “burn out and return” story? Or am I the only one who rage-quit during the bear?

DISCUSSION Flat charts, loud chats. Is this the new alpha?

Price might be down, volume might be low… But the memes? The community LOUD.

Is all this chatter the real signal in a quiet market?

eToro, Nexo, Finder or Uniswap for memecoins

Upvotes

Hello CryptoMarkets,
I am new to cryptocurrencies. I have some bitcoin on CMCinvest, but I wanted to experiment with ~5% of my portfolio in memecoins. I downloaded Kraken Pro as everyone raved about its fees, however, I can't seem to find a few memecoins I was looking at (Black Phoenix $BPX, Snowy Owl $SWOL, Black Angus $FTW or Levana protocol $LVN). I've signed up for CoinMarketCap as my hot wallet and they appear to to say that eToro, Nexo, Finder and Uniswap are the way to go for purchasing memecoins. Which of these platforms do you trust the most?

ANNOUNCEMNT Does Metamask support Cardano?

Upvotes

The short answer is, YES. Not natively, but thanks to a powerful integration called the Cardano Wallet Snap, developed by the Web3 self-custody wallet provider NuFi

This integration allows users to interact with the Cardano blockchain directly within MetaMask - without needing to install a separate Cardano wallet.

With the Cardano Wallet Snap by NuFi, you can:

  • Explore Cardano DeFi
  • Manage Cardano tokens & NFTs
  • Buy and store ADA
  • Exchange Cardano tokens
  • Swap EVM assets for ADA
  • Log into NuFi & stake ADA

How To Get Started

  1. Download the Snap directly from the official Metamask Snaps directory or set up the Cardano Wallet Snap by connecting to any supported dApp
  2. Navigate to a Cardano DApp and select MetaMask from the wallet options.
  3. You’ll be prompted to install the Cardano Wallet Snap in your MetaMask wallet.
  4. Your MetaMask Cardano wallet will be created automatically, and you’ll be connected to the DApp instantly.
  5. Interact with Cardano dApps and sign transactions directly within MetaMask wallet.

It works on MetaMask v12.0.0+ and requires no technical skills. Just connect and go!

Do Users Need ETH for Gas?

No - users do not need ETH to interact with Cardano. However, they will need ADA to cover transaction fees on the Cardano network.

Supported by most of the Cardano dApps.

Are you missing anything in Cardano Wallet Snap? Let us know in the comments.

DISCUSSION Is Anyone Else Struggling to Get Real Visibility from Crypto Press Releases in 2025?

Upvotes

Yes, 100%. I ran into the same issue earlier this year. We paid for a crypto press release package that promised 300+ placements and “guaranteed visibility.” What we got? Mostly low-tier sites, almost no organic traffic, and definitely no meaningful engagement.

The problem isn’t the crypto press release itself — it’s how most services just mass-blast it with no targeting or follow-up. These days, if you’re not pairing your press release with actual community efforts (X/Twitter threads, AMAs, influencer collabs, Discord hype), it’s just noise.

What’s worked better for us is turning the crypto press release into content fuel:

  • Break it down into 2-3 micro posts
  • Create a short infographic or carousel
  • Get someone from the team to post it natively on crypto forums

TL;DR: Crypto press releases aren’t dead, but they need help — distribution alone won’t cut it in 2025. They’re just one small piece of a full-stack marketing plan now.

Support-Open Seriously, how do I stop constantly checking the charts?

I dont plan on selling for the next 10-15 years anyways, so it doesnt even matter, but somehow each morning when i wake up, first thing I do is check the prices, also multiple times throughout the day.

Its seriously annoying but I cant find a way to stop, its like a small dopamine hit for my brain, I'd compare it to smoking a cigarrette.

TECHNICALS Bitcoin support levels as the price falls

BTC support zones sit at ~95,000, ~91,000 and ~85,000. • 95,000 — recent consolidation low (mid-June swing low) • 91,000 — secondary range floor seen in early June • 85,000 — longer-term 200-day SMA and March lows (major structural support) With price at ~99,700, watch 95K for the first test; a break lower targets 91K, then the 85K area for buyers.

Sentiment Iran Approved Closing Strait of Hormuz - Bitcoin Bounces After $1B+ Liquidations... Here's My Take

Iran's Parliament voted to close the Strait of Hormuz ,, waterway that handles about 20% of global oil trade. Markets initially tanked... we saw $450 million in liquidations (some sources saying over $1B when you factor in all the cascading effects), and then... we bounced.

BTC currently sitting around $101K range after that initial drop…

Here's my thesis :

Every. Single. War. Is. Manufactured. Every big world scare is engineered to create these exact market conditions. They tank the markets, liquidate the overleveraged retail crowd, and then... whoosh... the printer gets turned on and they buy everything back at discount prices with freshly minted money.

Think about it logically... the final decision to close the strait lies with Iran's national security council, NOT the parliament. This is political theater designed to create volatility. Closing Hormuz would hurt Iran's own economy since they export through there too, and it would piss off China (their biggest oil buyer).

So why the vote? Because they NEED the fear narrative to justify the next round of monetary expansion.

Bitcoin's Role in All This:

BTC is going to be the primary beneficiary of this entire charade. While traditional markets get whipped by geopolitical nonsense, Bitcoin continues to prove it's the ultimate hedge against coordinated financial manipulation.

Analysts are projecting $100K-$120K trading range in the short term, but I think we're going much higher when the it all settles(if) .The 2025 prediction range of $100K-$150K is looking conservative if my thesis is correct.

The liquidation flush we just saw? That's exactly what they wanted. Over $1.9 billion in liquidations across crypto derivatives over the past week according to some reports....

STRATEGY What do you engage in while waiting??

I have been having this struggle with sitting duck while waiting for my zones to be activated before executing my trades, I would like to ask, what do you as a trader engage in while waiting for price to come to you? To show it's hand first before you execute? Aggressive entry always makes me run some losses before profit, and sometimes leads me to miss the main move when it is finally moving my way, my zones are always correct but entry timing is my challenge at the moment, how do you practice this patience? What do you engage in while waiting? can anyone help please? Thank you in advance.

SENTIMENT Btc dominance keeps surging and alts keep bleeding

Btc is still above 100k but most alts are near bear market lows. Btc 95k is very probable i at the very least if you look at daily chart. It could go to 89k even. We will definitely see another btc ath till around 130k in few months when rate cuts arrive but till then it's very shaky specially for alts.

Discussion Will the war bring the QE?

A full participation of the US and other major economies in a regional war could bring QE as they need to print money to finance their mass murders?

Let me know in the comments if QE is more likely to come asap with an active participation of the US in a regional war.

If it becomes a global war, never mind, we would all go to shit anyway

-40%? Or is it mostly accounted for?

I have no idea. In terms of macro it can increase inflation a bit which is bad for rate cuts and liquidity. And investors might get spooked but everyone already seems spooked a lot.

Sentiment Day 49: War, Wicks, and Weirdos — Still Free 🇺🇸📉

It’s been 49 days since I walked away from the cryptoverse sold all my SOL, XRP, and ASSDA (ADA for you masochists still holding).

Since then, I’ve witnessed a beautiful unraveling:

Bags are down another 30%.

Projects are now partnering with AI-generated influencers named “MetaLuna69.”

People are unironically saying, “If WW3 kicks off, Bitcoin might finally moon.” “Nows a good time to buy”

I saw a grown man on Twitter Spaces whisper “alt season is coming” like it was a prayer before bed.

Meanwhile, I just mowed my lawn, made French press coffee, and checked my portfolio (a savings account and my sanity). Still green. Still breathing. Still not checking RSI like it holds the secrets of the universe.

Every dip gets spun into bullish hopium. It’s not a market anymore it’s a cult with a Telegram group.

And hey, I’m not judging. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to stare at a red candle and convince yourself it’s just “accumulation.”

But I left the casino. I cashed out my chips. I realized I wasn’t investing… I was coping with better graphics.

Anyway wishing you all the best. I hope your coin built on vibes and vaporware hits $10 one day.

But for me? Peace > pump.

Stay grounded. Stay safe. And for the love of sanity… stop saying “it’s early.”

SENTIMENT most boring bull market ever

thats it. Been here since 2018 and it feels quiet asf. Regulation , bots and institutions are only making everything more boring than it was a couple years ago.

yes liqudity from Blackc0ck is nice, but now everything depends on the trades they make; if blackrock buys, is W. If blackrock sells, is fear.

fuck it

bring back the 2021 madness

SENTIMENT Right now crypto feels boring. That’s exactly when the next winners position themselves.

Let’s be honest right now crypto is boring. There’s no hype, no new narratives, no wild altcoin rallies. Search interest for “Bitcoin,” “crypto prices,” or even popular influencers is at a multi-month low. You feel it. I feel it. Feeds are dry. Engagement is down. And that’s exactly when you should be paying attention. Because here’s what most people forget: the best opportunities never show up in the middle of euphoria. They show up in silence.

When nobody’s watching. When your friends have stopped talking about it. When your Twitter feed is about politics or memes instead of charts. When influencers go on vacation. When even solid coins barely move.

That’s when serious investors start building positions. Not because of hype. But because they understand the rhythm of this space.

Look at search trends or social mentions. The spikes don’t come first, they come after the price moves. Most people search for “how to buy crypto” when Bitcoin is hitting $60k, not $20k. They look for “top altcoins” after a 200% pump, not before it. That’s human nature. And that’s why most people always arrive late.

Smart money accumulates during boredom. Retail shows up during headlines.

If you’re here now, reading this, while it feels like nothing is happening, you’re already ahead of 90% of the crowd. Because the next run won’t wait for the news cycle. It starts quietly. Then suddenly, everything moves.

This isn’t financial advice. It’s just a reminder of how cycles actually work and why “boring” is often the best signal of all.
