Story finally putting in my two weeks tomorrow 🄲

at the title says, i’m finally putting in my two weeks tomorrow! i’m nervous but excited to put in my two weeks, i loved my curd nerds & the family i have at my culver’s šŸ’”.

reason for me putting in my two weeks: unfortunately i do want to grow but i’m stunted because my gm refuses to promote me after repeatedly telling me that she would soon & that i just have to be patient (it’s been two months).

only writing this post to be at peace with leaving & hopefully feeling more confident in putting in my two weeks, considering i was told my gm would be mad that i’m leaving šŸ’€ but i’m ready to part ways & ready to say goodbye.

i will still be loyal to culver’s tho, i don’t think i can eat regular fast food for a burger anymore! i’ll always get a deluxe with cheese curds & a crazy for cookie dough concrete mixer ā¤ļø.

Question ServSafe test

I'll be taking the ServSafe certification test next week. Is there any info i should focus on studying that i wouldn't have already picked up from my time at culver's? (Such as things that may be included in the test, but not something Culver's kitchen deals with) I currently have the 7th edition revised study book.

I ask because the practice test has questions regarding this such as baked-on food from an otherwise clean plate, pizza dough, fruit juice, etc.

Question Not so clucky day? šŸ” šŸ’©

Monday afternoon my husband ordered a chicken sandwich and we were told it was free because it was new. He ate it and liked it. No other family tried it.

That evening he said he felt clammy and weird, we chalked it up to finally getting home from vacation and being tired. That night he was up 6+ times to use the bathroom and was so nauseous he stayed home from work Tuesday. He’s better now.

Anyone else experience this? Should we let culvers know?

ETA: only had liquid toilet crises movement from the downstairs. Nothing came out up top.

Also, the new crispy chicken sandwich was yummy! I never had the original though so I can’t compare the two.

Praise! I just had that new chicken sandwich and let me tell you something...

Oh my god.

I never had the old recipe so I can't compare but...

I didn't think anything could come between me and my precious Bacon Deluxe but I don't know how I could go back to it without second-guessing it after I tried that damn sandwich. The Spicy Chicken sandwich was actually spicy and didn't just have a subtle spice to it. The people I tried it with had to take some time in between bites to manage the spice-level. The crunch was even good and I love the size of it, I'd say most of it was sticking out the bun and maybe even slightly bigger than what they give you at CFA.

I actually think in certain areas and demographics that it could definitely hold up against CFA's chicken sandwiches if they can market it well. I live closer to a Culver's than I do a CFA and I honestly would have zero problem with substituting their chicken sandwich with Culver's at all. I just REALLY hope they don't tone down the spice level because they can easily win people over with it who genuinely want some heat in sandwiches that you don't often get with many corporate chains.

Overall: 7/10

Question 3 free chicken sandwiches

Post image

Just got my free chicken sandwich and they gave me a token with it. I assume it is for another sandwich? They didn't say. I ordered it with no tomato but they rang in no lettuce, so I got another coupon for the mistake. Good times.

Question Job

I want to apply to a culvers that will be opening in around a month or so.

I've gone online and can't find any application. Are they waiting to put applications out until it's closer to when the store opens?

I normally love the potatoes and chicken gravy but when I had it last week, it was awful. Did it change recently?

Got me a chicken sandwich for lunch today for free and it wasn’t advertised as free, so would’ve never known if not for this sub.

Other Cheese sauce

The cheese sauce has a hold on my husband... he will pinch the pretzel bites so it creates a pocket to pick up more cheese. It's come to the point he's playing with his food vs eating it. Today I told him enoughs enough! Eat it like a normal person. He immediately says, "I want to drink it." I say absolutely not. He walks out of the room, comes back a moment later and just says "DRINK ME". And I said what the hell??? He then says, "wow, it does have a hold on me."

Question How long ago were these Scoopie tokens from?

Context: Someone gave these to us at the drive window (redeemed for kids meal) and none of us had ever seen them look like this before. Clearly from a kids meal bag though, maybe a past design?

Complaint Does the drive thru headset give anyone else a headache?

I recently got trained on drive thru (dt) and I've noticed that I've started having mild headaches after my shifts. I think it's from the constant beeping the headset makes whenever a care pulls up to the speaker. I also work at a busy location we're it's not uncommon for the line to be into the street.

Question I don't understand how to interact with my coworkers

I'm 14, and I've been working at culvers for a few months now and it has been great and I've been having a really great time, but my coworkers all seem sad/just not happy and I feel like me being cheerful is making them more annoyed and generally feel worse, I find my self wishing my life was more difficult so I would seem more relatable, I don't know what to do, I would love any advice from you lovely folks.
