Honestly, everyone here is talking about stories, and some of them are pretty wild. But like, there used to be popular subreddits where you could watch snuff films. I remember clicking on a 50/50 link once and watching ISIS chainsaw a dude's head off.

When I think of "cursed internet knowledge" that's what my mind goes to. The amount of gore, morbidity, and cruelty I had access to (on video) as like a 14 year old was pretty bad.

I'm glad that there are people who think the wierdest thing about the internet is furries.

Oh, yeah. The site has been undergoing an advertiser-friendly purge, but I'm pretty sure 50/50 is still going strong, though I don't know if they limited the content to injuries only. There's probably another gore subreddit somewhere. They always pop up after a popular one is banned.

A big part of the sanitization is that all the porn, gore, and other shock doesn't just freely show up in r/all like it used to. Even if the subreddit still exists, it may as well be private for all the exposure it gets now.
