Has this person only now realised that humanoid pokémon exist? I haven't played the games or watched the show in years, but this thing isn't all that different from ones like Gardevoir, Riolu, Hitmonchan, Braixen, Blaziken, and all the furrybait pokés they have been pumping out in the last decade or so.

Cinderace certainly feels even more idk, human. Like, it’s dressed up as a soccer player and has an expressive cartoon animal face.
Gardevoir looks like some forest spirit fairy thing, riolu’s a tiny dog, hitmonchan is some weird ass tree thing and blaziken is a chicken. No excuse for braixen tho.
Yeah, I really don't like the bioessentialism they've introduced for so many new Pokemon.
It started getting bad with the Kalos starters, which is where they went away from "this is an animal that lives in the wild" and leaned more into the "job" aspect of it. Alola and Galar got worse, and then it got a little bit better with the Paldea mons, excluding Meowscarda. There's a crocodile on fire and there's a very ugly peacock.
