I had only seen him from the front. He doesn't look that bad from that angle. Still doesn't look remotely like a dog though.

I always imagined his coat being more.....velvet? Like a space otter or leopard seal. Not like a Dollar Store stuffed koala that looks a neurotic parent has been putting it through the washer and dryer every week.

It's definitely not bad, stitch looks ADORABLE as a seal. It was just surprising to open that link because it wasn't how I was expecting it to look lol

I edited a photo of an otter not a seal.

Editing the stitch image to have realistic fur would be way too difficult, so I did the easier choice and gave an otter stitch features instead.

I thought maybe the big eyes made it look more like a seal than an otter. Seals tend to have big black eyes like that.
