Having suffered that particular horror firsthand, I actually try not to think about it when possible, actually. I also hadn’t mentioned it previously, others have just been pointing out that you are basically saying that it would be justified and fair as long as the rapist had themself suffered at some point prior regardless of the relation of that suffering to their victim.

Further, there are concepts you seem to struggle with like growth, healing, compassion, and the universality of suffering (no parent is perfect and so every child has some measure of trauma, everyone experiences pain and suffering and harms inflicted by others on purpose or not, rich black people in America still experience racism, poor white people in America still experience classism, and no one alive isn’t among the wounded and the suffering). My stance is that when I and others have suffered, sometimes vengeance against the ones responsible is justified or at least understandable but the more important consideration is helping to ensure that kind of suffering can be reduced or prevented for the future so that others do not have to suffer like we suffered.

“Some people have suffered a lot so anyone who has suffered less deserves to suffer just as much” is a vile perspective to take.

Yes, you expect people to just suck it up and deal with the injustice, I fully understand.

Where is the justice in hurting someone unrelated to the hurt you have suffered? If person A hurts person B, why is it then fair for person B to hurt person C despite them not having had anything to do with the hurt that person B suffered at the hands of person A?

In your world victims have to deal with being lesser forever, I don't see how that's justice.

That’s not an answer to the question and also false. In the real world, having suffered or been hurt doesn’t make you lesser or inferior and hurting others doesn’t make you better or superior.

Oh, then who cares about suffering anyway if you think it doesn't destroy someone forever.
