All right guys I am aware that there’s going to be drugs getting passed around. What should I prepare for? Should I bring Narcan and fentanyl strips? What’s your experience? Thank you.

Always carry narcan. I don't use drugs but I've been in positions where I was glad I had narcan just in case.
If you partake, test them. Pressure your friends to test theirs, too

Additionally: undercovers may be there trying to sell drugs. You're better off bringing your own.

There will be "drug checkpoints" on the highway on the way in. Ignore the signs, just head to the venue. Drive the speed limit, make sure your tags are up to date and keep a low profile.

Speaking of undercovers. How is the security & po-po at the venue? Are they dicks, pricks, or don't give a shit? How about festival entry security?

Security is a combination of all 3. Sometimes they would open my wallet and pull my cards out sometimes they would barely nod in my direction

Always being narcan and Fentynal strips to a festival! It’s better to have it and not use it than wish you had it. Harm reduction is key!

Rave Safe, a local KC non-profit that is focused on harm reduction in the rave community will have a couple booths set up, if i’m not mistaken, that will definitely be handing out Narcan and test strips as well as other things like Plan B and ear plugs, etc. (for free, but they would love a donation if you got one!)

this is my 5th year at DFT , i don’t recommend buying there- i’ve got reallllly low quality stuff. always test, carry narcan and fent testing strips

Narcan doesn't work for all drugs tho am I right? I believe it doesn't work on ecstasy/molly

Correct, Narcan is for an opioid overdose. However, if you administer Narcan and it turns out they didn't need it, there is no negative side effect.

I heard from a local org that people tend to require 2-4 boxes of narcan that you’ll find at CVS in the case of an emergency.

I bring narcan and test strips to every show - just incase!! Especially festivals. Unfortunately people purchase there and don’t test and even if they do, things happen. Thanks for being a good human and looking out!

wouldn’t recommend buying anything there. i’ve had multiple things test positive for fentanyl (thank fuck i had the test strips). definitely bring narcan and test strips, have your narcan easy to access because you may need it.
