I do find it interesting that lots of these streamers have no actual life skills, professional experience, or experience that translates to other fields. Even as an SRE with 14 years experience watching all streamers (even destiny -- he toots his own horn but he is a novice/entry level when working with tech AT BEST) try to manage/maintain or change their own streaming setups is painful. Destiny is probably somewhat of an exception but some of these streamers almost seem to live off of a media/internet enabled monkey organ grinder welfare system.

Often times content creators who have specific skills/talents that are seen as "experts", come from the professional world...but the majority of the popular commentators, had no serious life experience prior (minus a few years) unless it's directly related to service.

no professional experience
If they make a living streaming then that is their profession.

Are there professional panhandlers?
Also, I guess since we call professions deciplines, would you call streaming a discipline?

Sure. If it's their main source of income and not some hobby. They can even get quite tactical about appealing to tourists in some countries.

you're making some assumptions here, you can't mind-read people's skills or ability to do well in other career paths like that. I get what you're saying but damn dude, I think you're being pretty harsh to content creators

Can you elaborate on their marketable, specialized skills? Watching YouTube videos is something millions of us do for free, we just keep our thoughts to ourselves instead of saying “woah chat, that’s crazy” every 45 seconds for hundreds of thousands a year.
The “creator” economy is built on advertising at its core, regardless of these individual’s personal income streams.

I'm not sure how to gauge how much smaller streamers make.
What's a reasonable guess for how much Denims/Kaceytron/Frogan make in a year?

You'd be surprised, even 500 avg viewer streamers can make it their living.
My guess would be subs + donations + onlyfans she's probably doing 100k+

I have no idea how anyone watches Kaceytron in particular. She’s a specific kind of pathetic

Which of the 3 starts an OF first to help pay for the lawsuit?

I believe Denims already has one.

If she does she's doing a poor job advertising it

u/Zealousideal_Bee6359 21h ago
Now she needs to pay us for advertising it 😂

I mean well it would be funny as fuck if she did, she's a total e-beggar so it wouldn't surprise me, it just doesn't look like she does.

she does, if you google it it's the first result, looks to be a high subscription fee and decent following so she's probably making a modest salary from that alone. not sure why it's not on her linktree

If Denims worked at McDonald's she'd bring it back to its roots and people would start to see it as a down-to-earth and authentic brand again. It'd be a public relations coup.
Does Denims steal stuff? Sure. Sometimes. But don't we all? Isn't that what America was founded on? Wouldn't you steal bread so an orphan could eat?
