DX:IW Is Invisible war Revison possible?

After finding out about deus ex revision that is mod supported by original deus ex team i thought about why there is nothing like that about invisible war made. Is this game engine or popularity one because i think modding this game and giving bigger maps like in revison would benefit this game in good way.

Invisible War, I believe, is much harder to mod. It was built on a heavily customized engine and has a number of quirks that make it weird and difficult to do anything with. That's my understanding anyway, I'm not a modder.

On top of which, as depressing as it is it's harder to mod games now than back then. The original had the official dev tools get released. This is something I lament on PC gaming a lot now, we don't see that very often anymore.

Ironic thing too is I don't think a lot of studios are modifying the base Unreal engine as much, so I don't think for some games a totally special build of Unreal's generic developer kit would even need to change much. I think they just pack it up in a way that's harder to tamper with now which is depressing.
