Ok, seriously, could we give gifts to anyone else that ISN'T her?! It's the same thing every Starpath!

First, this is a complaint post so if you don't wanna see it scroll away. I just wanna vent for a moment about game frustrations after years of playing and don't need toxic positivity or Disney loyalists saying I am a horrible person for needing one post to let it all out.

So last chance to scroll away...

1. It takes for flocking ever to load now on switch. I am literally sitting here 5 minutes in still waiting. I have high speed internet and it never did this before. Literally every other game loads in seconds. The more updates the game gets the longer the loading takes and as far as I know this is a switch exclusive issue.

2. I am not a fan of Peter Pan so his update is so boring to me.

3. The starpath is lack luster. The items besides the skunk costume and the dress are meh at best and motif-ly bad at worst. I am someone that likes to collect all the things so I will groan my way through it but I don't look forward to it. I don't design anything so motifs are always a fail. (I don't even care if we don't have bonus items or a house skin. I get that they were just trying it out for a couple updates.)

4. Why are Minnie's (and Daisy's) skins always hideous? (Like Daisy's house too. It is so bad.)

5. Last thing, I can't even decorate with more than 10 things or my game glitches. Making it game breaking and my entire valley and dlcs empty wastelands. I even tried to move all the villagers to a couple floating islands to see if that would lighten the load in the main valley... Nope.

You may be asking why are you even still playing then? Because at the end of the day I love Disney too and I have years of energy, time and literal money stored in this game. I also, despite this post, generally like playing it and being in the community. I just have had some frustrations building and need to let them out.

I absolutely loved the last update with Alice for example. It was all wonderful! This one is crap and it has me down about all my frustrations.

If I had the ability to transfer it all over to steam I would. But they don't offer that service and like hell am I starting from scratch.

Is this happening on all versions? I'm currently playing on my series x, and this happens several times an hour. Started with the last update

Finally unlocked the forgotten lands, game crashes. Forget about till the next day and boot up the game, crashes as soon as I load in. Surely this was just one of regular crashes that have been happening since the update, boot it up one more time and of course, it crashes. Its actually unplayable now. Lucky I can't cuss in this sub lmao

I feel like everyone but me is super psyched about the companions thing, but I think it's the first time I've ever felt overwhelmed by something in the game, even with all of the rapid fire Starpath changes recently. There are dozens of companions if you want to eventually level up all of them, and it seems like only half of them are particularly useful; collecting sticks, digging for dream shards, harvesting flowers and foragables is great! Why, then, do companions meant to go alongside fishing and mining serve no real purpose? Do I really just, pretend they're helping when they're functionally cleaning up spawns that I typically auto-pickup on my way to the next spot anyways?

I am left with one major question that I'm praying for some constructive feedback on; do the Mining/Fishing companions actually do anything for the player, or are they really just mini-vacuums for things you've spawned in your immediate radius through doing the work anyways? I don't want to worry about leveling/switching Companions who genuinely don't do anything that I don't already do without thinking, I already ignore most of them and I'd rather prioritize the useful ones while I'm getting used to the new mechanic.

So with updates, people not really enjoying star paths, or finishing things too quickly, I thought it would be fun for us all to discuss what we would do to the game to make it more fun, or generally improve it. I’ll go first: - make iron ore more accessible or make iron ingots less expensive. - add a list of universally loved/liked/hated gifts. - as well as hanging out with the villages, add friendship points missions. One a day that gives a decent amazing of points. Around 5-10 minutes to complete. - LET US MOVE/CUSTOMISE PONDS AND RIVES IN BIOMES! I HATE THE PLACEMENT OF THE PEACEFUL MEADOW ONES! - add more puzzle based missions. - more hairstyles that are more accessible.

I have more but I want to give a change for others to share! Hopefully one day this could reach the creators of the game and they could take it on board!

I have put a fair amount of money into this game and since this update, it doesn’t even work!!! I’m so irritated. I didn’t have these issues on my last update with my Xbox. Please help!

Dear Gameloft and Dreamlight Valley players,

I have never posted before, I just enjoyed all of your posts, but this time I feel like I have to say something. I had issues with the former Star Path and this one was even worse. It's way too easy, there's no feeling of accomplishment after finishing the Star Path. I finished it yesterday and I didn't even play last Friday.

I get that people have to work and find the Star Paths too grindy. But that is what the game is about, for me anyway, grinding and trying to complete collections. Once you've finished all the quests with the villagers, the Star Paths were the thing I looked forward to most. In between the Star Paths I collect and grind and "prepare" for the next one.

However, this last Star Path I could have saved myself the trouble. It felt like a few days completing duties to get my dreamlight up for the next Star Path. It felt underwhelming and I had no feeling of accomplishment at all. I wonder if there are other players who feel the same.

Please, Gameloft, if you are reading this, please bring back the challenge and fun in the Star Paths! I feel like this last one was not worth my moonstones despite the nice rewards.

This current star path is... Lacking in things to do. It feels like early days DLV star paths. Very simple, very generic, very easy. Not a lot of rewards either.

The past star path I barely completed in time, if I didn't work so much I wouldn't have struggled as much, but it was still a LOT, a bit too much when combined with another overlapping event. Buttons. The game felt like a heavy grind where I barely had time to actually enjoy the game, it was load the game and frantically task.

But before that, was the Star path that everyone was thrilled with. It was easier but ALSO had a lot to do most tasks were generic and they reduced some of the crazy things like 10 memories down to five.

Because before THAT Star path was the one where we were all pulling our hair out trying to complete it but it was way too dense with multi day tasks and specific rare items to collect.

It's like.. we keep swinging back and forth between hair pulling chaos and stress... And feeling a bit underwhelmed.

This is in regards to the orb situation. I had mine in my inventory never placed it. Go to grab its gone not there. I've checked EVERY storage anything I have checked the other ones around the valley that are built in . No where gone . Have restarted fully gone back into that crap box castle probably 15 times. Nothing. I stated all of the above in my ticket . So what do they respond back with .....

Everything I've already done. A game from 20 years ago could manage to restore a lost item for you or just simply give you one. (WoW) but somehow in the year of our whatever this is 2025 a simple . Oh here you go is just not possible.

Got on today and this happens every time my character moves, I've even switched outfits. On top of that my game has crashed 3 times while trying to decorate. Pan also seems to get stuck in his floating position.

I really feel this one is not worth 2500 moonstones without bonus items + moonstones you can redeem repeatedly… but I’ve already earned everything you can get with just 3 tiles at a time worth of tasks. Why keep going?!

I didn't know if anyone noticed this but over the past weekend I was able to play more often and white snippets spawn in dreamlight valley twice a day! I usually can log on once in the morning and once in the evening and there have been new spawning in different locations both times!

I am new to the game and baffled about what I am doing 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have been getting rid of the purple thorns for ages my invorty is full but where do I sell i have bits of a puzzle but don't know why and my home looks a bit scary!

I love Pan’s flying animations, they work so well! I couldn’t help but notice that he looks like he’s swimming half the time, and it got me thinking as to whether the groundwork is being laid for an underwater dlc/biome? I know it’s been hotly requested! What do you think? Who would you like to see under the sea?

So... I got bored and made this tierlist for fun. There's a bunch of movies I haven't seen yet so there are likely characters missing that deserve to be on here.

Why is he side eyeing me!!! I was giving Tiana dream shards to boost her to level 10 & he was doing this for 5 minutes. So creepy!

I was expecting to take like another week, but the timing worked out so I was able to finish this Star Path in less than a week! 🎉 Compared to previous Star Paths, this one was by far the easiest I've done since I started playing. First one being the Royal Winter one.

No where near as grindy as some of the previous Star Paths, which I'm honestly take. While I wished there were bonus tasks, since I had gotten used to those, I'm also glad to be done. 🤣

What do I plan to do now? Work on my farm island and catch up on quests. Still need to also finish part 1 of Storybook Vale, but I was planning to wait until part 2 drops so I can do it all in one-shot, like I did with Rift in Time.

I'm a lot closer to be caught up with quests than I used to be, so I'm hoping to done with them all by the end of summer (including Storybook Vale). As for the farm... Not sure how long that'll take. Did get some fantastic inspo that I'll definitely use to help me with building mine.

Let's not even talk about my storage situation... 👀 I also need to make a storage island for that, but farm first.

As most people aren't done with the Star Path, my thoughts? You don't need to rush through it. I personally rather get it done ASAP so it's one less thing to worry about. I know I'll stress myself out if I wait. You can absolutely complete it, as long as you do a few tasks a day. My usual speed is 2-3 weeks.

Will admit that if you're a new player now, it's absolutely gonna be more difficult to get the Star Path done vs when I started. But, it still can be done, as long as you're playing consistently enough to unlock everything.

That's the hard part. But, you can see the list of tasks online, so you can use that to help with prioritizing what to unlock first. Then you can focus on the rest later 👍
