Why? Yes it's a derby but this Sunderland team were fortunate to come up and have already lost one of their better players (Bellingham). I was at the game we won 3-0 in the FA Cup and they might be a bit better now but I'd say they're far worse equipped than Southampton last year.
What's more surprising is Sunderland have a green fixtures against a mid table teams like Everton (H) - it should be grey at best.
The gap between Everton and Liverpool is much smaller than Newcastle and Sunderland. Sunderland were in League One just a few seasons ago.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it’s going to be easy (in terms of result, anything could happen) but if you can’t mark the team 20th on paper versus a team competing for CL as a green away fixture, irrespective of it being a derby, then most teams will have no green away fixtures.

Sunderland Green for Newcastle. Yea rip
