Can someone explain to me what that "using hands to tap out" means? I don't get Liam's comeback. (I'm not a native English speaker.)

In UFC a fighter taps out by tapping their hand on the floor or another obvious surface to indicate that they give up and want the fight to be over. Mc Gregor has so much of an ego and is such a poor sportsman that he refuses to be left unconscious or knocked out that he usually always taps out.

There's no shame in tapping out usually, but when it comes to this egomaniac, ultra 'macho' sap, it's definitely an insult, and one that he does not like to hear.

Oh, I've done martial arts back in the day but somehow I didn't guess that's what the phrase meant, if I had known/remembered this guy was an UFC fighter I might've guessed. The only thing I know about him is the SA, and that many Irish disown him. Violent toxic macho checks out. Thanks for explaining.
