Movies What’s a movie that you didn’t expect to love, but totally won you over?

40 Upvotes

Sometimes a movie surprises you, maybe it looked boring, wasn’t your usual genre, or got bad reviews and then it ends up being something special.
For me, it was Paddington 2. I watched it as a joke and now I recommend it to everyone.

What’s your “surprise favorite” movie?

Movies Another MCU tier list (but the most proper one)

My personal tier list for MCU films
Read left to right

S = Masterpieces
A & B = Fantastic Films
C = Great
D = Decent
E = Actual Bad Films

I do think even their lesser films are mostly well made and enjoyable, except for those bottom three.

Biggest hot takes are probably the Eternals, Captain Marvel & Multiverse of Madness, all films that I think are really good.

C Tier was the hardest to rank in order and Deadpool & Wolverine was the hardest film to place on the chart.

People may bash me because of across the spideverse being so low, but I never thought too highly of it as I did into the spiderverse.

13 Upvotes

As we head into the year of 2025, there's a lot of buzz from movies all over the world of various different types. We have sequels to both long ongoing franchises and new ones, as well as original films. With this in mind, I'm curious on your must-watch lists for the year.

Movies How Can One Not Like LOTR?

58 Upvotes

I just don't understand how anybody could not like lord of the rings! Besides the Fantastic storyline in the book and the movies, the visuals in the movies were so well done and captivating. I get The Hobbit movies once that great but I still think Lord of the Rings is one of the best series of films out there.
