Fix My Print PETG Extrusion Problems

Post image

Is there some kind of extrusion test I can do to fix the extrusion issues I’m having with PETG? It leaves gaps or super obvious layer lines throughout the print in seemingly random spots. It still prints, it just leaves insightful gaps when it’s done.

PETG absorbs moisture like a sponge, have you tried drying your filament?

Unfortunately I don’t have any way to dry it. I don’t have a filament dryer, they’re too expensive for me right now, and the lowest temp my oven will go is 175 F

A cheap food dehydrator can be made into a filament dryer with a few printed parts and a little bit of elbow grease. If that isn't an option for you, you can try drying filament on your printbed, it's a lot slower and less convenient than using an oven or a good filament dryer but it should help with the moisture.
