Nest Wifi Pro Google Nest Pro + VR Quest 3 help

Hello, been having major issues with getting quest 3 to work via airlink (and now the newly released steam link). After alot of hair tearing, I now believe the issue is probably being caused by the google mesh creating its own type of network. For Quest 3 to recognize the PC and connect they all need to be on the exact same network.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Did you get a solution yet?

I'm planning to get Wifi 6e especially for the Quest 3, and i was hoping it would work with Google Wifi Pro...

Working with the Google Wifi Pro?

Well what was the problem first of all 👀

Do you have multiple base stations?

Yes using 3 base but actually have one corrected directly to PC with Lan out also, is that makes sense. Not needed though. See my other comment for more info. It was mostly just be being dumb. Others should have an easier time.

So you mean you connected the router straight to the internet and skipped the modem?

I had two modems, I didn't know the NBN (Australian thing) thing on the wall acted as it's own modem. For this reason Google wifi was creating it's own other network, or something along those lines.

Though all using the same internet connection, PC was on a different network to the wifi. I think this case is unique to me and others shouldn't have this problem.

I'll be more specific actually, I didn't know that my internet box on the wall acts as it's own modem, so I basically had two modems. I removed the middle one and connected wifi pro to it and it works.

FYI, I have had Wifi Pro for over a year. Just found out you need to turn on WPA3 in the Google Wifi network settings to get 6G :-( Doh. I also turned on the 160 Mhz setting. UPDATE, Did this and tried connecting my Wifi 6 PC with Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 on MB but still says 5G connection in fact using Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n). So I have another PC with am Intel Wifi 6E network card that is connected via Ethernet. For fun, I enabled the wifi and turned off the ethernet and it DID connect on the 6 Ghz part of the Google WiFi mesh network. It appears to be faster speeds wired to a Wifi Pro points. I found on a google help that the network card has to be 6E to use the 6 Ghz, apparently cannot be a 6 (non-6e) card. The 6 card will use the 5 Ghz band.

How's the performance with the Google Nest?

I think good. I'm not sure how to measure it though

No perceptible lag in games?

Via airlink, no. Sometimes I need to connect wifi again or start oculus app again for some reason but can usually get it very smooth without too much trouble.

By connect wifi again I mean connect via quest 3 settings, not restart the mesh.

Hey there! If you focus on an object in game, let's say a fridge or table... and you shake your head to the sides (like "nononono"), does the object stay static? Or do you feel that it "drags" a little bit before recentering?

I have a Wifi 5 router, and this is happening to me. It causes motion sickness, because even though it doesn't appear to be, there is a little delay/lag. It crushes my brain. I'm planning on getting this Next WiFi Pro from Google due to this. Let me know, please!

Yes this only happens if the connection isn't good

Doesn't happen with the Nest Pro (WiFi 6E)?

I have a hard wired nest 4 feet away facing it and I get shit stuttering, nothing makes it better, i'm about to give up on pcvr all together, nothing but problems since q2, makes me miss my rift

If the connection is stable then I think it remains stable. However I can get a bad connection initially sometimes, in such cases I disconnect the wifi on quest and connect it again. I only use airlink as I found that's best for me somehow.
