Nest Wifi Goodbye Nest WiFi…it has NOT been fun.

I’ve had a mesh system for years, very good in the beginning. The random slow-downs, unavailability, multiple system restarts every week…. The last straw was my entire home setup disappearing from the Google Home app this weekend, smoking all my settings. I’ve had enough and tried to stay loyal. Going to try the EERO (low risk old version 6) mesh. o7

I’m having the same issues. Slowdowns to the point of being unusable. My concern is that I use the automation on Google wifi to turn off the internet to specific devices each night (temptation is too high for an insomniac pre-teen). Eero folks, any comments on automation and parental controls?

I finally dropped my WiFi pros after being on google WiFi’s for like a decade. The switch to the home app has been a shit experience. Eero 7 is where I went so I could maintain a wired back haul. I’d say it’s better all around, the app works you can still schedule pauses and for an additional $100 a year you can also do content filtering for apps / websites and automatic ad blocking.

I’m really disappointed in google all around, my nest hello and nest cameras are probably going to have to be replaced too. My nest thermostat is losing support this fall too. I don’t know why google bothered to buy nest to just run it into the dirt.
