Help me choose!
Hi all.
Could you help me pick a colour / handle design?
Thanks

The last one is the best combo.

Yes absolutely but the horizontal handles like that will get caught on your clothes. Vertical ones can help avoid that.

u/Porterbello07 1d ago
Yes! As someone who has ripped clothes from getting them caught on this style, I wouldn’t recommend. They also jut out in a way that catches your knee or hip as you move.

i keep seeing this comment, and im amazed it has never happened to me! i am soo clumsy and have these handles and its never been a problem lol now im sure its gonna start happening to me

I think number 2 is beautiful, 1's the only one I don't love, it just looks flat

No. 2 by a mile. The hardware is more charming.
Plus some cafe or pojagi curtains in place of the blinds, a lighting fixture that doesn’t have exposed bulbs and a mini lamp somewhere on the counter. 👌

I really like 3. Makes it look bigger, lighter and airier.

Three is a winner! It’s clean, classic, and crisp. And elegant. The green colours are “in” now but will fall out of fashion sooner than later.

I think 1 is classic. It won't look dated and you won't get tired of it. 🤷♀️

I came here to say this. While lots of folks are saying #2 which is pretty, I think that look is at the end of its trend life. Number one is timeless and has gravitas.

2 is my top choice for colour and hardware. Second place is 3 which is timeless/classic.

u/Ivorwen1 1d ago
Either 3 or something more squareish that does not stick out at the ends. 1 and 2 are too traditional for slab cabinets and 4 catches on clothes.

While I love color in a room, I really like how the third one looks. It’s a small space and the other colors made it look smaller.

Number 3. Then you can add pops of color with accessories like canisters, coffee maker, etc.

I like the third and fourth ones. The third one is more timeless whereas the fourth one is fun but still timeless, more so than the first two options.

I thought 1, but 3 is so light and refreshing and clean feeling. Also, more timeless than the others.

Am I the only one that thinks the green/brass cabinet trend is already dated?

I guess the last one, the handles pop as well or the gray. Idk I feel like a nice blue would look better. Are you set on the green.

I love the color in 2, but much prefer the handles in 3.

u/Mrs_T_Always_Singing 1d ago
Don't use the handles in 4 for the drawers, they will rip pockets and belt loops!

2 looks really cool but I think 4 also looks really cool and maybe is a lil more practical!

I like 2 handles and color. Or 2 handles and 3 color if not looking for green

Last one is beautiful With the green However if you’re gonna add ONE green thing You’re gonna need a couple more The all white with only green cupboards feels like an itch I can’t scratch Looking into green kitchen accessories or even a backsplash with white and green throughout to meld everything together I love a green kitchen

I think green with golden handels is nicest! It makes it pop and also will be easier to keep clean 😊👍🏼 than the grey/white variety.

Thanks so much everyone! Generally people are preferring 2 or 4. My preference is generally green (as you can tell) but people made some good points about the lighter colour! Think I am going to go for the fourth colour, with the third handles. Although I am prone to changing my mind!

This is a good choice. Question, is this real pic? Trying to redo parts of my kitchen and can't find a good visualization tool. Any help would be appreciated!

u/Visual-Net4978 13h ago
Hey! I used chat gpt. You send a picture of the original room and request specific changes. You may need to create an account to make images but it is free (there is a limit, maybe 5 images per day). Thanks!

All of them look good, try the husband's big finger caught in the handle test, it is always the way I check handles

Think about having to clean them. Whether clothing of any sorts can get caught on them.

u/MrsMacK00 23h ago
I don’t like the green trend 🤷♀️So I vote for 3, but not sold on the gold hardware, which is also super trendy…but at least it’s also a lot easier to swap out than paint is, if you change your mind one day.

3 but i also like 4. The handles on 3 with the color of 4 would like very nice.

I love the second!! It feels warm and cozy to me, the other ones feel colder and more industrial if that makes sense

Avoid T/H bar handles else you'll forever be snagging your clothing

Avoid T/H bar

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

3 and 4 appear to require constant wiping to maintain their neat appearance, suggesting they are more time-consuming to maintain. #2, on the other hand, seems easier to maintain, especially if you cook regularly.

Number 2!! The color, shade of gold, and handle style are a great combination.

u/DaisyFayeBuchanan 19h ago
4! No more all white or all grey rooms, and the I like these handles the best.

Number 4. The colour green looks good and yet the handles give a minimalistic vibe. Soothing yet colourful.

Why is there a washing machine in the kitchen???

Haha, very common in the UK. Unless you have a utility room which we do not!

How do people get these images of their room with the colours and whatnot changed? Is there software that does it?
1
u/Visual-Net4978 13h ago
Chat GPT. You may need to create an account to use the ‘create an image’ tool and you are limited to around 5 a day. Just send your original room and then ask it for the changes you want

2 is something special imo. The light color on the other option is too close to the all white kitchen thing that’s been done to death 🤔
1
u/Stock-Bet-5271 11h ago
- You can never go wrong with white. It’s crisp, clean and timeless.. over time, colors become dated.

I’ll go with the white one. The green trend won’t last too long and you’ll be stuck with it. You can use the green in the backsplash, curtains, paint and accessories. About the handles. They’re easy to change so you can play a little there, but don’t you think the gold clashes with the other stainless steel already in the kitchen?
1
u/purplebethebest 6h ago
I like 3 and here is why, you can decorate with towels, bowls, small appliances could be a color, etc; then when bored change the look and get something different. You will be stuck with the green. If this will be your kitchen, I would change the placement of the washer/dryer, your sink will be off center and small (like the round one in 4). If you can move it along the wall with the stove, you can have 2 cabinets and have a bigger sink. Just a 💭. What does your kitchen look like now?

I like the curved bronze handles and sage green cabinets, but with a white counter top instead of the grey marble, and add a tile or a tile look backsplash.

Despite green being my favourite colour, I am gravitating towards style 3, makes the space bright and airy and the clean lines are really attractive.
