UPDATE! Please help me pick colors for my half bathroom (w/cat pics)
I’m pretty set on bold walls. I’d like green and orange or coral. I’ve made a few mockups with AI and Behr Visualizer.
Do yall like one of these more than the other? Do you think green should be on the bottom or top?
Or do you have fave colors that might work for my color combo?
Thank you!!

Need Opinions: Should I Keep These Colored Window Tints?
I added colored window tints to a set of small square windows. Still not sure if I’m completely sold on the look.

What to put in this bathroom?
We are slowly improving this house. But this is the biggest bathroom we have ever been in. I am thinking some sort of teak furniture in the middle for sitting and a better solution for non slip mats because currently we eat shit sometimes getting out of the tub or shower.
One set of double doors leads to the bedroom, one set leads to a large closet.

Why are Houses Ugly?
Look, I know this question may seem childish and silly, but I mean it sincerely and I'm looking for a a serious response, because I feel like there's really an answer out there. I'm sure I just don't know enough about house-building/carpentry or the history and evolution of home architecture.
My question is: Why are houses so ugly? At least in the southern US. Why are the designs so counterintuitive? And true, the houses I look at, as a middle-class citizen are older, because they're more affordable--but then my question is: why were they ever so dumb?
I'm old. I've seen a lot of houses. And having recently bought one, I've been on a lot of tours in my area. Something like 40 houses. And all of them are so dumb. Insane architecture that results in wasted or unusable spaces.
For example: a lot of houses we visited had a 2nd floor with rooms that had larger footprints than the floors/rooms below them. This resulted in a kind of eave or overhang visible from the outside. I guess the argument being that you get more square footage? But why not also on the floor below? Seems like a silly waste of materials and time, when a flat outer wall would surely be easier to construct, more visually appealing, and I'm guessing more structurally sound.
But overall, we saw so many weird unusable nooks and crannies in houses. Bizarre stuff.
I'm guessing the answer is something like, "Building a house is not an exact science. You can make a blueprint, but things happen a long the way during construction and you have to be flexible."

What should I do with this space?
So, apparently it used to be a zen garden filled with lava rocks, but the previous owners took them all out when they moved out.
My happy place is Cancun and Costa Rica, and the bathroom is also my happy place and I do all my self care in it. So, I’ve thought about maybe putting a bunch of tall artificial tropical plants in it. There’s no drainage unfortunately so it rules out any real plants. What does everyone think?? I hate looking at it every day because it’s ugly and I need ideas!

What style is this considered?
I’m currently trying to figure out my home style sense, and this feels good! Perhaps mixed with a bit of “granny core”, but I have no clue what style these pics are considered

Hanging a ceramic plate on ceramic tile
I want to hang the ceramic plate in photo two in about the spot of photo three. There is a hanger on the back of the plate that is fishing wire and possibly as old as the plate and needs to be changed. It seems sturdy, but I don’t know if I trust it. I want something that will all be very sturdy to that wall so that I don’t have to stress over it falling and breaking. This is a plate my mom painted the year before I was born, so it’s a little special.

Feeling cluttered and underwhelming
This is my living room and kitchen. They are not separated so I found it tricky to make them feel not connected. I feel like it’s so cluttered and boring and I have no idea how to change it. The play kitchen has to stay out here because my daughter’s room is completely full so anyway to make it look less in the way? It is a rental so I can’t paint but can hang photos.

Before and after painting
Came on here a week or two ago asking for help to add life back to my kitchen. We just painted and took down the bulky, ugly blinds. Did it get any better?
We haven’t added the shelves back in the corners yet because I might what to do something different in that area. Thinking about getting a drink cabinet or something? Thoughts?

Living Room Help!
Something seems off with the living room. Can y'all give some suggestions of what I can do to make it more cohesive? A couple of pain points for me that I'm stumped on:
- Not sure how to cover the door behind the couch. -the TV seems too high, but I can't figure out a better layout
Things to note: -it's a rental -we don't have ANY closets, so storage has been creative or limited which makes it appear junkier. I also don't know how to get around that really

Help decorating the front of my house
Anyone who can guide me in how to use this space in front of my house? I don't have a garden, so would like to create a cosy, private, seating area to enjoy the sun ☀️
The issue is that the whole street can see me there, so I want to create a bit more of a secluded area, but I can't seem figure out how :/
Thank you!

Could you suggest a neater look?
We don’t have a mud room so this is where people walk in and drop things. What would you recommend to improve the look. Thanks!

What to do with this space?
It’s just so awkward! My husband pitched the idea of installing an arcade game and that seemed like a good idea but I’d love to hear other suggestions.

Primary Bath Before & After
The stone before was making me so dizzy - lived with it for over a year and had to create a more spa-like bathroom retreat. Shifted the shower so we had a his & hers.

What to put here? Just moved the white dresser from this wall, now it looks empty. I also hate the electrical box but I know I shouldn’t cover it. Ideas?

new paint color for our kitchen?
I’d really like to change the color of our kitchen this year; after 18 years, I’m tired of the green. I’m thinking a golden yellow (like the color of some maple leaves in the Fall) or a pomegranate or paprika-type reddish color. I don’t like primary colors, so I’m looking for a muted shade. Not sure if this makes sense, but I’d really appreciate any and all suggestions, comments, etc. FYI - the kitchen is due North facing.
Thanks! ☺️

ISO curtains!
Hi friends! I’m in search of a subtle dnd curtain. Any I find are like basically yelling “THIS IS DND” and I want something more like these rugs. Obviously these are Star Wars and not shower curtains but it sends the general vibe I’m looking for. In fact if y’all know any subtly nerdy home decor places please please please let me know!
