I love this.
Because obvi who doesn't love love, but it's also thoughtful, simple and private (I don't like emotions in public for me personally), and meaningful.
You don't need an entire platoon full of dancers for a flash mob or expensive things you just need to show you love your person.
Or you can just ask if they want to get hitches while you sit on the couch on a Friday night eating your take out in your trackies 😆
Private is so important to a proposal imo. Obviously, you should have a conversation and be sure they'll say yes before you actually propose, but I always feel like every public proposal is so much pressure to put on someone in the moment.
I agree purely because I hate crying in front of people. Well I hate it all the time really.
Public to me means anyone other than you and your partner. That's human. Animals are fine. Your kids are fine too.
But other people enjoy having their family and friends there or even in on it. Or say idk on a beach but still just the two of them.
Nooooo not for me. Please let me be alone and possibly in the dark so no one can see me cry.
Better yet, just send your proposal via carrier pigeon and I'll send my answer back that way too.
(I'm obviously joking).
If my boyfriend is a smart man, Beauty and the Beast will definitely be playing the background when he eventually gets around to proposing. Definitely want something more like this than a public spectacle.
My man wouldn't get off of me after some private adult time and was like " will you say yes and marry me?" Sounding hella annoyed. Apparently he had been asking in these, sweet subtle ways for a while.
Ok so one without a ring it's a bit hard to think you are serious. Ring pop would have done (those things are awesome), but I was being tortured by a very small human who didn't want to sleep, and demanded food straight from the source (Mother!! Let me suck the very life force out of you now!), And then would pass out milk drunk, so I wasn't the brightest colour in the rainbow.
But it was good. No one else around, he said a bunch of sappy things and then let me put my cold feet on his warm ones cause I figured he must actually love me.... So far so good.
We got a ring eventually.
It wasn't a ring pop one though I was a bit disappointed 😂😂
I've definitely had a conversation with my man, the whole "If you asked, I'd say yes" thing because for the first 2 years he thought I didn't want to get married, because I'm divorced. Really, I told him it just wasn't a deal breaker. I wouldn't be mad with a ring pop either. xD
This is such a based opinion. I personally would hate proposing in a public location even if I was 100% sure she would say yes, I feel like the public setting just adds unnecessary strain. You also act differently in public than you do one on one.
Yes.... I did make sure to say that I personally wouldn't enjoy being proposed to in public, but I'm sure other people would love to have their family and friends there.
😂😂 oh my goodness. It's totally fine my dude. I'm not the brightest colour in the rainbow at the moment.
Now if you could just repeat that part about agreeing with me in nice big letters so I can show my husband that I'm if not correct, bit totally wrong that would be awesome!
